Why I hate the FIA...

Well in my eyes the worst about the FIA is that nobody can control them. There isn't a real 'list' with punishments in every case that happens.

Imagine this:

-Alonso isn't world champion yet and Kimi can be if he finishes just before him at Suzuka. Alonso overtakes Klien and cuts the chicane, he let Klien pass him and overtakes him at the straight. The FIA thinks that Alonso did an unfair move and wants to punish him...

and now? There isn't a list where you can see what you have to do. They can give him a drive-through, the can give him nothing, they can give him a black flag, they can oblige him to give the position back to Klien,...etc

If they want Kimi to be world champion they can manipulate the whole season, nobody can control the FIA and that's why I don't like it :-)

Surely that was the race stewards that made that decison, not the FIA, they are the governing body of course but they only regulate the sport, not make the decisions at the events, thats down the interpretation of the stewards, and did,nt Brundle say that Charlie Whiting would have emailed Renault telling them about the infringement?

Charlie Whitings the Race Director and works for Bernie Ecclestone, not asas i the FIA as far i as know

Could be wrong of course ;) *Disclaimer * :)

good points tho. pizzonia gets a fine, but sato gets a dq. the fia/whoever is very inconsistant and the rule book is too flexible

Rember one more thing. When you broke the engine you have to star 10 positions worse than you qualify. Why did kimi satarted the 17 if he had to start the 22.
Another FIA manipulation.
In this case the rules are very clear.

And that tyre change some weeks ago.. "Kimi did get flatspot to his tyre". Few drivers made samekind mistake in qualifying and only McLaren was enable to change tyre. And they changed it before start! And no penalty!

And that engine rule! loong time ago (not at this year) it was "driver need to use same engine for qualifying and race" so you cant change engine beetween qualifying and race but what did happen after with kimis engine? McLaren changed it and FIA didnt give penalty because that engine was "damaged"!

Before that weekend rule was:
"you cant change engine beetween qualifying and race!"
After that weekend They "changed" engine rule:
"you cant change engine beetween qualifying and race without getting penalty!"

And samekind thig with McLaren engine changes happened this year too and I dont mean that one what happened to Montoya!

Really interesting!

And everybody in these forums remember Maleysian gp 1999! But fia wanted to have good fight in last race so no penalty.. And 20 years without winning the championship! "It would be good thing for F1 if Ferrari will win!"

But Irvine didnt win so when McLaren had samekind thing with their frontwing (in Brazil 2000?) FIA did take points away.. Hey remember it is only good thing for f1 if ferrari will win..

Fia did get what they wanted and even too much because in 2001-2004 Ferrari did win everything even without any help so sure it is time to help McLaren at this time..

Sorry so much text and with so bad english..

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

i think a 10 place grid penalty is clear enough. its not about times, there were still 3 places to lose for his penalty...

does anybody know if the GPWC will be FIA sanctioned? hope not...

Surely Kimi can only recieve a 10 place penalty on the qualifying sheets... if only 17 people set a time, his lowest position can thus be only 17.

His car had to go into parc ferme, whereas theirs didnt do they? Because they didn't set a time, an presuambly damaged the cars. (in some cases)

exactly
people are making a meal out of nothing

Kimi was the last of runners to set a time and therefore he starts 17th as he has the last time and last + 10 places = last.

@Brasil: The Stewards scrutineer the wheel so much. You think they would allow him to change for no reason..? they surely have their reason for letting him do so.

Oh well people always complain...they complained about Ferrari era, they have complained about Alonso's triumph and now they will complain about Mclaren.

ffs just enjoy the racing when you can.

IWE is not a ferrari boy, he is 100% correct! You just can't stand him because he complains about a fact that gives the advance to McLaren

With 1 additional pitstop that tyre change would be ok but not before start!

That was like getting prize for driving-error..

Everybody should crash his car in free practise to so bad shape that he will need 100% new car for qualifying so they wont get penalty and can drive with new car in every race!

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?
