Hi all, I'm new here.
My money is on Dome, a Japanese racing team that compete in Nippon, Sportscars and F3. They tried entering F1 in the mid 90's with a Mugen powered car, but it neveer happened

Because basic maths says it cant be

RB2 is the 10th team. They replace Minardi next season. Therefore, another team must be coming also.

And RB2 will use the same engines as RBR since its the same car.

V10 engines are actually a good idea, since FIA will probably fumble the restrictor calculations

yep it will be very hard for them to limit the v10's pulling power, even giving them lower revs wont sort that problem out will only affect the top end.

But they will be more thirsty than the v8s

Wouldn't the v10s be more reliable since there not having to rev so hard ?

didnt know the article talked about it being a new team. probably just another big rumour anyway. just like team dubai, phoenix and that whole gangbang... i think its near impossible to start up a team over just a single offseason. and we wouldve heard something more concrete about it by now if anyone was having serious plans about joining the championship next year. The only situation I imagine having a 11th team is if one of the other manufacturers start a B team like RBR

From crash.net.....

Well-connected sources in the Suzuka paddock insist that the mysterious Honda-supported eleventh F1 team will be run by Aguri Suzuki and the Dome organisation, and that the project is now virtually certain to go ahead.

When confronted with the suggestion, BAR team principal Nick Fry smiled broadly and said "I can't comment".

Both names have already been mentioned in connection with the much talked about team, but not previously as a package. Earlier this week, Dome denied its involvement to Japanese journalists.

The one thing that does make Dome an obvious partner in the project is that it is a top-class manufacturing facility. Given a full set of drawings of this year's BAR 007, the company would have little trouble producing a subtly-modified replica to take next year's Honda V8. In the past, Dome has made successful sportscars and F3 cars, and even created a still-born F1 prototype. The big question remains where the team will be based in the UK although, interestingly, Dome has longstanding connections with Lola.

Former F1 driver Suzuki has been involved with several formulae as a team boss, notably the Indy Racing League. Although Suzuki has no direct connection with Takuma Sato, the current BAR star is clearly the ideal driver for anyone putting together a Japanese-funded team with full Honda support. Anthony Davidson, well-known to Honda via his BAR testing role, has been tipped as a possible team-mate.

Another suggestion in the paddock is that the new team could involve former Dome personnel but, again, this could not be substantiated

If there is gonna be an 11th team, I reckon it'll be a Japanese dream team (or as close as you can get)... the Suzuki rumour seems likely in my opinion. But we shall see...

The sidepods look very modern for a 97 car.

Man, I wish it was Penske! It would be nice to see an American based team in F1 again. They obviously could pull it off, but I don't know if its them or not...

Hardly surprising, is it? How is that any different from his normal expression...
