OK

Since nobody else has started this, and I know my whole family thought it, so others must. I reckon if Michael Schumacher was involved in the first corner incident then there would have been a red flag. Controversial: Yes. True: Probably(imo)

Don't think so....if he was taken out in place of Rubens, I think that it would have gone on as normal!

i was thinking red flag, but then i thought when the safety car was deployed, righgt decision.

why?
the track, and more importandly the racing line where not blocked, just mainly on the run off. very little debris on the track itself, mainly off track (on grass and run offs).
it was the same case australia 2002.

Thats the catch, they dont wont to red flag the race because of TV schedules, but the TV audience (and the crowd) would have had a more exciting race had it been red flagged.

If MS was invovled they wud have red flagged it. But if it happened in spain and alonso was involved. they probably wud have red flagged it too.

Nothing is consistant with FIA stewards of the meetings

Err... hardly likely. Charlie Whiting doesn't think "Oh it's this guys home Grand Prix so I'll red flag the race."

i dont think it would be red flagged if ms was involved and safety car was the right decision although i wouldve much rather had a red flag =\

they do whatever they can to keep the race going

this is to deter drivers from having incidents at the start of each GP

u know when Michael reired at the first corner in 2000
i thougt it was going to be red flaged
surprisngly it was,t but then only fisichella and Michael were invaloved
in 2001 Burti crashed with Michael and they were both in the tow last postions
and they red flaged the race ..it was not nessecry
and thise year three top cars crashed and other 3 were damaged
it was very nessecry to restart it
but now
Michael got his life chance
and they make it as easy as possibel for him
the Mclaren r allways unfaird when thise happens
F1 suckes...

of course mclaren are always disadvantaged, austria 2000 first corner incident michael is out and no restart and mclaren get a 1-2 finish.if it is biased towards ms and ferrari then there would of been a restart, sounds like mclaren were disadvantaged doesn't it.

it's not because a particular driver is out it depends on the incident not wether it favours ms

I agree with Hakkinenf1. If Michael would be involved, than red flag would be out. It was unfair. And it was Ralf`s fault. It`s write, that he has been given a penalty. I was very pleased when Michael had a puncture

well that isn't true hakkinenf1 has gave an example, germany 2000 and i have gave austria 2000,michael was involved in both and the red flag came out in neither,so to say if michael was involved the red flag would come out is rubbish
