Heres a suggestion. Come back when you know something about Formula 1. And my comment about the factory is because its just a giant Penis extension for Ron. Hes pretenous, is egocentric, and he steals contracts from people he calls "mates" (Franks lost Mobil 1* and Tag amongst others! ) and his comments show him without honour. As a result when a more honest team like Renault or Williams beat him. Its all the more enjoyable

What his comments proove is simple. Even in defeat Ron has to try and stick the boot in. If he'd just left it alone. Said something like "Fernando and Renault did a very good job this year" No one would complain. But because he tries to employ "spin" on his statements it make him look stupid.

* Mobil 1 were spirited away by McLaren has Frank was recovering from his paralysing accident of 86! What sort of a mate strikes when you cannot posibly defend yourself!!!!!

I can see Ron Dennis' point. Not about Montoya, as he was no where in the first half of the season, but Kimi Raikkonen was by far the better driver of 2005.

It all falls back to those Mercedes engines they stick in the back...

...would be nice to see the name 'McLaren Honda' again, wouldn't it...

Then he is stupid: why does he have Montoya and De La Rosa in his team?

It is a nonsense, ther have been many champions from South America, and although is not the same, here in Spain we have a two times rally World Champion (Carlos Sainz).

By the way, I don't believe that there are many drivers more disciplined than Fernando.

Maybe he doesn't accept the defeat, or he is a racist, or both

I dunno is #1 worth of anything except it looks cool but schumi did win his first championship (1994) with #5 on his car and next time when he had that number he almost won the championship (1997).. ;-)

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

I don't think it's possible but it would be cool to see the ferraris next year with 27-28 numbers

More and more I feel like ignoring this F1 section, the level at which some people have gotten with arguments is saddening :(

No if Mclaren wins the constructor's , Alonso will still have #1 next season.

Remember how Ferrari won the constructor's in 1999 but the F2000 was still #3 and #4

a. champion gets number 1.
b. his teammate #2
c. then numbers go on constructors finishing order
d. new teams take the next available number. so a new team next year would take 22 & 23.
e. buying an existing team, you take their numbers.

ferrari had 27 & 28 because in 78 williams joined f1 and took 27 (see d.) & later 28 when they got 2 cars.
in 1979 schekter won the title so took number 1 for 1980.
jones won for williams in 1980 so took number 1 & 2, and the old champions - ferrari - took williams old numbers - 27 & 28.
so 27 & 28 belonged originally to williams.

ferrari kept 27 & 28 until 1996 when they changed it so the numbers were defined by championship order. until then only the champion and previous champions were affected by number changing.

if the champ retires, or doesnt race then the constructors champ gets 0 & 2 (i think)

Were you asking seriously? anyway, here comes the answer:

Because Prost, the winner the previous year (1993) was not there and Williams was the constructors champion. So, Williams had to be the first team but the winner was not running so, Hill number 0 and Senna/Coulthard/Mansell number 2.

It was the identical situation during the previous season (1993), with Hill number 0 and Prost number 2 (Because of Mansell's title in 92).
