It's apparently raining in Sao Paulo at the moment (8:30am brazil time), and has been doing so for that last 4 hours..

More is forecast throughout the day, the detailed forecast is "Considerable cloudiness, heavy morning rain followed by widespread afternoon showers and thunderstorms"

Make of it what you will...

*Still apparently raining at 11:30am...

This could be one fantastic race, especially with the muddled up grid (see Klien 6th and Monteiro 13th)

Did'nt they change the drainage in eventuality of a repeat of 2003 recently though?

Even if they did change the drainige, the track will still be wet, which to be frank, is all that matters

mr_maniac,

Sorry but I just saw your post now, I arrived at the track about 6:30 am and it didn't rain at all!! There were some small drizzle one time or another, but it didn't even wet my hair.

The night before the race it rained a lot, my brother wanted to go to São Paulo FC match after the qualify, so we went there (I'm not São Paulo fan!!!), the game was Saturday 4:00 pm and it ened around 6:00 pm, at 7:00 pm we where ate my house and we ordere pizza. The pizza boy (not Pizzonia!!!) arrived aorund 7:40 and when I got out of the building I was surprised it was raining hard (I think it started when I was at the elevator, 'cause when I left my apartament I looked at the window and it wasn't raining).

So it rained heavy all night, at 3:30 am at Sunday it was still raining I think it stoped raining at 5am something. So when we arrived at the track it wasn't raining.

When F-Renault raced there there were some wet parts on the track, but F-Reanault, Formula Maserati and other cars that were on the track took all water off it to the race.
