SECOND QUALIFYING: SENNA CLAIMS POLE POSITION
In his first season in Formula 3, Bruno Senna claimed his first pole position, qualifying quickest for the second race at the Nürburgring. With only ten minutes of the session remaining, the Räikkönen Robertson Racing driver vaulted to the top of the timesheets with a lap of 1:50.919. That put him 0.184s clear of Dan Clarke, his team mate making it a Räikkönen Robertson front row.

I know what you mean Dave, but I think you should clear it up for everyone. Thats a dangerous comment to make if it were taken the wrong way...

He meant Bruno was pushing so hard he almost crashed, and not jokingly referring to Ayrton. (I hope!)

Kimi and his manager, Steve Robertson, have an F3 team called 'Double R', or 'RR' (Raikkonen-Robertson) and Senna and Dan Clarke drive for them.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Of course it was not a jke referrence to Ayrton. All i meant was Bruno has a reputation for being...well shite tbh. When i seen him at Donington he went off almost every lap at several different corners. He may have raw talent, but jeez, its useless when every lap your almost hitting every wall on the track

Yeah, I have no doubt Bruno will eventually make it into F1 and be pretty successful. Too early to tell if he'll be a future world champ, but you never know! :) I just wonder if he'll be pushed into it before he's ready, just because he's a Senna. It could break him.

Having a name is bound to open some doors, but make other things quite difficult. Would you rather be Johnny Nobody or Fred Senna?

Well being called Johnny Nobody would be awesome for some lazy jokes at school.

For some its ok and for others its not so great. For Villeneuves and Sennas it was probably harder, because both drivers have acquired legend status, than it was for maybe someone like, Damon Hill say.

Good for Bruno.

You're right about Senna crashing a lot. He smashed his car in front of us when we went to Thruxton! Certainly is entertaining tho!

Yeah I saw him at goodwood, he does look a bit like Ayrton, more so in the flesh than that picture really shows.

Bruno will probably get into F1 with help from the family name, but who knows from there, the likes of Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve have done it and had success, but the likes of Michael Andretti have failed miserably.
