Figured it would more than likely be Massa. After all, with his ties to the Todt's, where else would he go?

so does that mean Button's off to Williams and Barrichello's got his BAR seat? And Heidfeld's got Massa's seat at Sauber/BMW?

The jigsaw fits.

this is the only site where the news is.

But there are also some other stories that rb will be dropped now and replaced with massa and the 3rd rbr driver forget his name will go to sauber for the rest of the year.

yep thats the guy.

There are so many stories at the moment who knows what one is true.

The other ones are pitzonia is going to sauber to replace massa if he goes to ferrari now. Davidson is also in the frame.

But i think rb will see out this year but ferrari are no happy about what was said at hungry. The same as they are not happy with BMW getting to see the ferrari engine at sauber.

I dont think though massa is ready for ferrari and will be out of his depth.

Also funny in gp2 that the team todts son helps in was found to be cheating lol

Hopefully the signing won't get to Massa's head.

I'd be surprised if Barrichello isn't at Ferrari in China, really.

But I'd be gutted if Liuzzi gets a race drive anywhere, even at Ferrari (my least favourite team). Can't stand him at all, want to slap him every time I see him.

I can not believe Massa is going to Ferrari simply because someone he works with has a family member working at Ferrari. He has nothing to offer.

If the world worked like that I'd be Bill Gates's top software designer, because my uncle works at Microsoft...stupid.

If he had talent, bonus. But he doesn't. He'd be a great rally driver. Maybe that's what he thinks he is... :-o

its oficial, massa is the new Ferrari driver for 2006:

The Ferrari communicates to have exerted its favor an existing renewable option in the agreement that binds to the pilot Felipe Massa to would escuderia of Maranello since 2001. Therefore, the agreement means that felipe Massa will run for the team in the season of 2006. Rubens Barrichello will leave would escuderia it in the 2005 end, after one well-succeeded and rewarding contribution initiated in 2000 and that it contributed, so far, for the conquest of five world-wide championships of constructors.

Maranello, 2 of August of 2005 The Ferrari Press

Felipe Massa comments the agreement with the Ferrari: "I am very happy and proud to run in the Ferrari in 2006. Maranello has believed me since 2001, when still nor it had start in Formula 1. Now, I am in mine third season as pilot of the Sauber and also I can count on one year of experience as pilot of tests of the Ferrari, an experience that helped enormously in my growth. I feel myself soon for this new challenge, that is more important of my career. I am conscientious of the responsibilities that it represents and I cannot wait to be part of a team as the Ferrari, together with the best pilot of the world, Michael Schumacher. I want to thank the Peter Sauber for having trusted me in these last three years. I go to strengthen itself to the maximum in last the six races of the season to obtain best resulted the possible ones for the team."

yes its true massa will join ferrari at the end of this year and replace MS y i dont know maybe they think massa is better than we do or they can do what they done to cappeli and blame him for lack of results.

Its strange and there are better drivers out there. Maybe they need a brazilan for money agrements and they are letting rb go a year early.

Let see what happenes regarding the other stories now RB will be free to race ms will the repace him

Why all this speculation from you guys that Schumacher is retiring? He will be racing for Ferrari in 2006.

TBH i am glad Massa got the role rather than some other bigheaded moron i know.

OK, Massa was erratic but fast in 2002. Since hes come back he has proved his worth and I highly rate the guy. Take this year, in a car thats not so good, hes trashing his more experianced teammate

Bad move on Ferrari's part signing Massa in my opinion, aside from the fact that Felipe's manager is Jean Todts son i cant see any sensible reason why he's joining the Scuderia.

Massa has never really shown any brilliance to warrent a top drive.

Unless Ferrari want another mindless drone to tow the company line and be a whipping boy to Schumacher.

If anything its a step backward for them, at least Rubens has shown he can win races when he's let off the leash & proved he had what it took when he was driving for lesser teams.

Massa can't say the same, the only winner out of this Jean Todt and his son
