I think Ferrari are gunning for Kimi when Schumi retires... :)

As for Rubinho's replacement, hmm... Fisi would be better to stay at Renault, they look the team of the moment so far and if anything he'd get even WORSE treatment at Maranello than he has received at Renault.

If Rossi can't get into F1 (*sob*) then I guess my 'personal favourite' for the drive would be Klien...

Actually, thinking about it - who the hell are Ferrari going to sign!?

In an interview given by Peter Sauber to Autosport, it seems like he's resigned to losing Massa anyway:

Quote

Team boss Peter Sauber has admitted that he will be sad to lose Felipe Massa to Ferrari next year after revealing that he wanted to keep the Brazilian on board for another year.

Massa now appears certain to be joining Ferrari in 2006 as teammate to Michael Schumacher, with Rubens Barrichello switching to BAR-Honda.

Although there has been no official confirmation of the deals, which are believed to have been finalised at the Hungaroring this weekend, Sauber has resigned himself to losing Massa.

"I would have liked to keep Felipe with my team for one more year, but it's too late now," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Massa himself told the same newspaper that he would obviously relish the opportunity at Ferrari, although he drew short of confirming that he was definitely on his way.

"Yes, I'm in a good position, thanks to the good season I'm having," he said. "Ferrari is my dream and it would be a fascinating experience, as long as you have a competitive car, which I would demand from Ferrari or others.

"Being teammate with Schumacher? It wouldn't be a problem: he's my reference point. If I beat him, then it would mean I'm on my way to become a champion myself."

When asked whether he had talked about the situation with Barrichello, Massa said: "No, I've never spoken with Barrichello about it. We are friends, and we go to dinner together, but we don't talk about these things. Anyway, I hope a decision will come soon."

Dont forget that the editor of F1 Racing releases his seed over pics of Fisichella every night though :\

Matt Bishop (UK's F1 Racing Chief Editor) likes Fisichella that much??? I don't think so.

As for Rubens's replacment, I've read that it's rumoured that Ferrari have asked Red Bull if they can have Coulthard for a year. If that's true, then it's very interesting - wouldn't have thought that DC would want to be Schumi's lackey.

It'll be Massa in the '06 Ferrari, I'm sure of it.

I still don't rate Fisichella all that much. He's lucky to be in a top team as it is. I could think of other drivers who could do better in his Renault seat atm.

Oh, I'm still waiting for official word on Barrichellos' move to BAR. No doubt it's true but I'd like to hear from either him or BAR.

You don't rate Fisichella but you rate Massa?

What on earth has Massa done to secure a seat at Ferrari?!?

been managed by the Ferrari boss' son...

I don't think Fisi would be good at Ferrari, same with Massa.

I would like Kimi to go there but surely Ron won't let that happen?

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Wait a minute! I didn't say I rated Massa. I said I'm sure if Barrichello moves to BAR and the fact that Massa wont be in a Sauber/BMW next season, would suggest Massa is Ferrai bound.

Though, Massa has calmed his driving style to the point where he is a worthy F1 driver - unlike Sato...

i have always rated massa from day one

he has improved leaps and bounds since his first year,

he is visibly smoother now, and is still quick

will be interesting to see him against schumacher - to compare setups, and he will only learn more from schuey. i think schuey will be interested in massa setups and style also

"Dont forget that the editor of F1 Racing releases his seed over pics of Fisichella every night though " No it's Peter Windsor that gets all gooey when writing about Schumi. Good for Rubens, finally he can race against his team mate again but he waited too long to jump ship IMO.
