Jordan laid to rest three days of feverish speculation by confirming their 2005 driver line-up on Thursday afternoon.

Narain Karthikeyan and Tiago Monteiro were named as the Silverstone-based squad

It's sad to see Eddie out of the picture (both literally and figuratively)

Yay for Tiago, he has the talent to merit that drive. Bit of a shame to see Karthikeyan buying his way in over someone like Davidson, IMHO. But best of luck to them; they'll need it.

What does race have to do with it?

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

They'll all be competing in one except for Davidson, so he's discrimated against. :P

Somehow I don't think BAR would let Davidson race for Jordan/Midland since they refused to let him go to Williams.....

they would have let him race for williams, but williams wouldn't agree to give him back to BAR for '06.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

race sim!

whats wrong with buying your way into f1 - its the way f1 is and always has been. many top drivers started that way - alboreto, ..., and others ;-)
most get found out pretty quick though.

i think its wise for davidson and others to avoid minardi and jordan - the chances of impressing a top team boss are pretty slim. webber did but he had 100% support from stoddart. heidfeld has but he was well established before going to jordan.

Alonso, M Schumacher, Fisichella - all examples drivers that started out in relatively poor cars but moved up rather quickly.

I guess this won't happen to any of these, but sometimes drivers react well - remember Diniz was awful when he started, and ended up giving Alesi a half-decent run for his money in races.

If talking about race drivers is racism, is talking about test drivers testism then? Furthermore, if race equates test, does radical equate testical then?

I'm sorry, but I see this whole Karthikeyan situation as a Yoong 2002 season all over again...

Yeah, he was the first malaysian driver in F1, but who cares? He wasnt fast, and he couldn't keep the car on the track.
