About Karthikeyan,I dont know if he is F1 material, because although he can be fast sometimes, he makes too much, but too much mistakes in race.
Anyway whoever joins Jordan,I hope they can help the team to improve.

good luck to him, he now has his big chance he has waited for. apparently he was close to getting the mInardi drive for 2003, but failed to get enough sponsor money.

and Mark Smith has left Jordan.

I think Karthikeyan is a very quick driver, just not consistant. He was awesome at Brands Hatch in F3. I think he will be another RS, on his occasional good day he will be awesome but for the rest of the races just an average driver if hes not in the barrier tho. ;)

Though i m an indian & i m proud of it at the moment... honestly i think narain is just another come & go driver... i have seen him race and have even done a few laps with him here in indian racing, he is fast but not the F1 kind.

Karthikeyan's credentials are exactly like those of Takuma Sato before his F1 debut in 2002, so I expect him to have a similar season; a bit crap, with lots of accidents.

I'm not saying he's a bad driver, but he's in F1 too early.

exactly? are you sure? sato was basically straight out of a season where he blitzed british F3, karthakeyen took a couple of wins at most (iirc) in 2 years where he was not one that stood out amoung some of the others

didnt he test a Jaguar a couple of seasona ago, if so how did he do?

//edit// took my own advice and googled, done a couple of tests, in a 2day test with jag in the R1B, he was 1s slower than De La Rosa, not bad

Tiago Monteiro will b Narains teammate as far as i know.. and s narain did test the jag & jordan back in 2001 in the pre-2002 tests but Niki Lauda (Jaguar) thought he had 2 learn more 2 get in2 F1 and Jordan were under pressure from Honda 2 take Sato onboard.. then in last year he couldnt get a seat in minardi bcoz of lack of funds.

@Andrew - OK so he'll have a worse season than Sato had then ;)

I'm happy for Thiago and Narain, but there's a young Argentine, Jose-Maria Lopez, fantastic driver, take himin care, because he maybe in F1 in 2006, and with a bit of luck, in RENAULT!!, he is the 2003 champion of the Eurocup Renault V6, so we won the test with the F1 car, then he racedfor CMS Performance team in F3000 during 2004 including a 3rd place at Monaco and Spa. he finished 6th in the championship. He'll be racing for DAMS in Formula GP2 in 2005. Watch him.
