about the point Marcl made about Honda not letting Ant drive a Toyoa-powered car, maybe it would be the other way round? we're assuming he would tell Toyota all Honda's secrets, but maybe he would be more like a spy and tell Honda all Toyota's secrets??

at the end of the day,he'd still be under contract from BAR/Honda, so thats where his loyalties would lie. but then maybe he wouldn't be treated fairly by Jordan/Midland because he would take their secrest back with him.

so in any case, it would be uncomfortable for all involved if Ant drove for Jordan, so it probably won't happen.

One thing i'm sure, Tiago will rock in 2005!! he deserve to be in f1

eheh another portuguese in this forum . He sure deserves to be in F1 .. we need a portuguese there :P , maybe our shitty government regains the interest in f1 and we can have f1 again at estoril :P

I also support Tiago to get into f1,but theres also more drivers that deserve to be in F1,or at least a F1 test like Bourdais or Richard Lyons,these guys were very sucessfull last year @ Champ Cars, F.Nippon and JTCC and they were ignored by F1 Bosses.
But I am very happy that finally a portuguese driver ,since Pedro Lamy, has a chance to get into F1,Tiago is talented ,has a lot of experience and can do amazing races in crap cars like in 2003 in Champ cars were he lead 3 races amd got a pole position with a Reynard in the worst team of championship.
But has I said beore theres also some other good drivers out there who also deserve a "shot" in F1,but myself has a Portuguese and a motorsport fan I really hope to see Tiago this year in F1.

F1 in Estoril is out of question,the circuit is also awfull,it would be better for the Portuguese government instead of finacing football stadiums that at the weekends are almost empty,they should build a new circuit situated at Algarve.
But back to Monteiro,I heard that he has finally the budget that Jordan asked him to bring for the team,so he is very close to sign for Jordan,only minor details are still to be discussed and hopefully Monday he will annouce that he is confirmed for the 2005 season.

why not upgrade estoril? whats this fad with new crappy circuits atm! Estoril is perfect opertunity....

"upgrade estoril" ? how can they ? the circuit was modified in 2000 (if I am correct) because of F1, but still F1 didnt came back :s

well its not as simple as it just coming back, if you recall, it should never have lost its place anyway, the upgrading wasnt finnished for 97, it was supposed to come back for 98, but never did..

anyway, thats true, but lets face it, the way reliability is now, and the record of "the new comers" in the past few years, i'd be surprised if it wasnt a big risk taking a minardi drive.
