The wing itself isn't that low, but the endplates make it seem that way!

Sure is the R24B?, a Spanish national sports newspaper says that is the R25 (it wouldn´t be the first time that this newspaper make a mistake)

If its the R25 then they havent done much. Its pretty much exactly the dame converted to the new rules with a thinner nose. The changes are so small that it looks like a 24 at first glance

F1Total.com doesn't agree with you Dave; they're reporting it as the R25. Although they seem to agree that it hasn't changed much.

As previously announced, the Renault R25, the French team's new chassis for 2005, completed its first laps in Valencia today (Tuesday). The new car will be presented to the public for the first time on February 1st in Monaco, but as early as today, Fernando Alonso started test-driving the R25 car. However, it was hard to see any striking innovations on it.

The front wing and the area around the nose is more deeply curved than on the R24, but this is mainly due to the rules changes. The curved shape of the sidepods has been retained from 2004, and only slightly changed.

The spanish national TV who have the rights of the F1 here also say that is the R25, they send this morning a team to Ricardo Tormo circuit and they had a meeting with RenaultF1 Team.

ITV-F1 are also claiming it's the R25. If so, then it looks aerodynamically conservative... BUT their issue last year wasn't with the aero, it was with the skittich handling and understeer, for which the aero is only minorly responislbe.

So this could well be the R25, featuring major upgrades under the skin.

The car understeered because of setup. Thats how the car worked best. It didnt hurt it like it should have. It was a very strange car to watch

Everybody thinks is a joke...but it's not. This is what Alonso said: "...Fernando also said the new 'R25' car, to be launched in Monaco in a week, looks similar to the 2004-spec model".

It is the R25... it was a shakedown. The official launch will be at Monaco on 1st Feb, so you won't see this car again until then. I guess giving the car a shakedown before the launch has some people confused, but it is the R25.
