Lewis Hamilton looks to be coming up strong, we'll see in the future, maybe even replacing an ageing Coulthard at Mclaren ?

Either him or Fabien Coulthard, just for a laugh... :)

Sarah Fisher, just to see how she compared I suppose, and i want to see Karl Wendlinger back, or Gianni Morbidelli...he was supposed to be in the running for the Minardi drive with Esteban Tuero when Yoong was ****, but nothing came of it...what are they doing now?

The fact that Sarah Fischer is a woman should not cloud our judgement on her. She is certainly not a bad driver, but I can't see anything special about her. There are others in CART or IRL who are better.

Gianni was racing for a while in the ETCC last year (though I don't know what's he doing now...) and Karl was also doing GT stuff recently as well.

I'd love to see Sarah driving in F1, that's for sure ;-)

/edit - but then again (now I've seen Vader's post) maybe my statement is a bit biased toward the area of novelty rather than ability... ;)

James Courtney

Was leading the F3 championship easily early last year until that huge shunt testing the Jaguar at Monza caused him to miss a couple of races

He's already carving them up in Japan apparently.

I don't know where you got that impression from. Just look at those results. Also, he's been second and third in the opening two rounds of the 2003 Formula Renault Championship. And he's had a contract at McLaren for several years. And remember he's still only 18. He looks pretty damn good to me!

Yes, he's too old, but if he races good in CART, MAYBE (Like Villneuve and Montoya) could do well in F1.

How kwons? Everything is possible...

Just think of Zanardi and Andretti so good is CART and so bad in F1...

Just think about how young JV was when he came to F1 and how old Zanardi was when he made his F1 comeback. If you have been used to CART specs (especially the steel brakes) for so long it i shard for you to switch over and get used to the carbon discs.

Williams did fit Zanardi's car with steel brakes, though. But still, it must be a hard switch to make.

Well, in my book it does not matter if someone is slow because he cannot adopt his style to F1 or because he needs steel brakes. Zanardi should have stayed at CART or better call it a day after his sabbatical year.
