Who would you like to see in an F1 seat, or who do you think deserves an F1 seat?

I'd quite like to see Helio Castroneves and Gil de Ferran in F1.

Takuma Sato.

Sebastien Bourdais looks pretty damn fast from where I'm sitting, too!

Out of all the people out there I think I should be given the chance! ;-)

After that IRL crash-festival at Twin Motegi/JP, I would like to see Castroneves everywhere, as long as stops driving in this dangerous series.

Bas Leinders !!! As you see that Justin Wilson can drive a Minardi and that Ricardo Zonta and Frank Montagny are in Formula 1 as well. These were the top 4 in the World Series by Nissan and Bas was 3d so...

Nascar Legend, Jeff Gordon.
I know he's due to complete a commercially beneficial test swap with Montoya (they swap cars for a few laps of the Indianpolis GP circuit).

I think Jean Christophe Bouillon never had a proper chance.

He tested well(for Williams in '95) with very comparable times to Hill & Coulthard, but Frentzen kicked his ass in the races (they were team-mates at Sauber in 95).

That's part of the reason Hill got dropped for Heinz after 1996.

Hold on, Nico Rosberg is coming... :)

Besides if Giorgio Pantano wins this years F3000 title, he might well end up in a Minardi car in 2004 ;)

Bruno Junquiera, and I'd like to see Tomas Scheckter and Mario Haberfeld in F1 soon too. I'd like to see Marques back too, he's not as slow as 2001 made it seem. The team basically put him in the shade behind Alonso (his car was the "budget" car with steel brakes instead of carbon half the time etc...). Where is he now does anyone know? I haven't heard much since he got drooped in 2001.

We'll have another Nelson Piquet in F1 soon I think.
His son Nelson Jr is in British F3 this season.

Have to agree there, he was pretty impressive in his test!

Andrew's right, Heikki Kovalainen.

I saw him at Silverstone in the F3 race, and he was amazing. Also he's apparently a talkative Finn, who would be capable of saying interesting things in a press conference.

Dario Franchitti or Gil de Ferran would be great for F1, maybe even Tony Kanaan.

Personally, I'd like to see more Brazilians/South Americans in F1 racing, 'cos they're always so competitive and entertaining. (Thats why millions of ppl love Barrichello, da Matta and Montoya.)

Funny thing about Cristiano da Matta....in 2002, he absolutely dominated CART racing, the same way Schumacher did last year. OK, granted he's only been in a few races, and he's in a different Toyota car, but I just expected more out of him..I didn't expect him to be a lap down in pretty much every race he's finished.
It's like, he was the best out of 2nd rate drivers last year (CART), but when it comes to F1 racing, they're in a complete league of their own.
