2005 Mclaren (MP4/20) - test shots on Page 4!!!!

I thought that 19B(aerodynamics) was designed by Nicholas Tombazis at least sidepods.MP4/20 will be his first full designed Mclaren car ( aerodynamics only).

About MP4/20 it will be testing monday and media is inveted :


Team McLaren Mercedes will run its 2005 challenger, the MP4-20 for the first time on Monday, January 24th at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.

The team has planned an exclusive test week at the Circuit de Catalunya, but will be open to the media on Monday. Photographs and further details on MP4-20 will be available on Monday on .

So....some hours before its launch, Does anyone have something in mind about the look of the new MP4/20?

I think the nose will be different, a normal one, like the one used in Monza. the sidepods are going to be....pretty much the same. The rear will feature all the wings as the MP419B, but everything more closer and neat, and they'll have chymnies as Ferrari and Williams.

Not many changes, I think... (except the required by the new rules, of course)

Seems to be loads more West on the sidepods, and none at all on the rear wing.

apart from that damn nose I quite like it.... initial reaction was "wtf" tho, mostly cos of the strangely large west logo on the sidepods and empty rear wing (and I've always hated the fat nose).

gotta love the solution to the rear wing endplates tho, and the burning hole in the right sidepod :D

Wooo Wooo.....Where's my e-cookie? I didn't saw the car previously, but i had that on mind when i said that...not exactly but is something.

What I don't like is there's no wing after the chymnies as the rest of the cars and that chymnie looks really alone there. Oh, and the barge boards looks to squarys

Why does this one have KIMI and not WEST on it? Is that the cart for the launch and not the Barcelona test car?

I think it has something to do about the new tobacco rules for the UK. I've seen the bar 007 at barcelona and it also had a no-tobacco livery.

yeah but it had West written on other pics

I guess they probably want to take publicity photos of the cars with both the tobacco and the non-tobacco livery.

The engine cover reminds me of IRL, i like the car think the sauber is nicer looking.

To me this looks like an update of the 19b. the sides but the cockpit are nearly flat and the driver looks so low
