well that is the general idea, bike commentators comentate on bikes, motorsport comentators comentate on cars, thats the general idea!

Charlie Cox was good at BTCC commentry - i was very dissapointed when he didnt follow them to ITv - but then Ben Edwards is great too!

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

yes i realise that, but its not the point i was trying to make, i couldnt really care about bike comentators to be bluntly honnest, whether they want to do F1 or not, im saying there are better motorsport comentators out there than james allan.

And my point being that if they actually gave a toss about F1 they would have applied for the position when Murray decided to call it a day they don't they didn't and the best of the ones that do & did got the Job!

even looking closer to home, Blundell did a good job while Brundle was away, and he was definately better than Allen, the british eurosport moto GP team are also quite good, but they are bike people as already mentioned

havnt heared this Ben Edwards guy personally, though i've heared from many sources he is very good, anyone have a clip of him?

andrew_S at last something i agree with if i had my choice Ben Edwards would also be doing the commentary but as is always the case what we would like is not always what we get.
As for grooming James Allen I think he does his own hair (Joke) for any one to be groomed for a job they have to be interested in the first place and unfortunatly for us James was the best of the bad bunch.

Does'nt matter who you choose, no one but no one will be as good as Murray

As for John Watson and Ben Edwards, i cant stand either of them.

I'd rather have Louise Goodman in the post than James Allan.

Murray, come back!

James Allen is getting rather annoying, now. I so, so miss Murray - he's still all there, too. Ben Edwards would be prefered to James, though.

oh come to china and listen to those "one words every 10 minutes" and almost blind commentators(3 in all) then you'll love james allen's words

Hey, it's not all bad - just think, we could have Ted 'Dramatic!' Kravitz commentating in Allen's place...

Martin: And Michael moves into the lead, but Kimi of course has more fuel - it'll be interesting to see what he does in the next few laps.
Ted: That's right, Martin - Michael Schumacher *is* in the lead... but Kimi HAS MORE FUEL - what does it mean? we'll find out!

...Because all Ted Kravitz does is tell us what we already know, but in a much more dramatic way ;)
