With only hours to go before the first Formula One cars take to the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne for the first ever two hour free testing session before official Friday practice, Minardi team boss, Paul Stoddart, is convinced that some of his bigger rivals, McLaren and Williams, want him to quietly disappear from the F1 paddock.

"I think Ron's trying to get rid of me and he doesn't care if he kills off Minardi along the way," he said.

how come no one else says upfront they deserve more money?

i feel sorry for paul, with ron saying what he has, he has frightened off sponsors etc. for minardi and might be the reason GOKL did not renue.

Ron Denis talks out of his arse some times. I am fully behind Paul here, as a Minardi fan, and a guy who doesn't want to see the number of teams drop even further. Ron's attitude here really p*sses me off!
