I know, but EJ usually gets his head down and gets on with the task of running his team, whilst Stoddart does his best to blast the big teams (who he needs to co-operate with him to survive) in every interview he gets. Hes making the situation worse for himself every time he goes off on a bender going on about Mercedes and BMW having it in for him

And if bmw, merc, honda were not in F1 there would be no f1.

Sorry if teams can not afford to be there then they should shut up shop. I know it sounds harsh but i agree with Bernie. I would rather see 3 ferraris, 3 williams etc but all the drivers being allowed to score points.

Just think how much better it would be there would be 12 cars able to win instead of 5

maybe one day formula 1 will become yahoo fantasy f1
where u have a salary and can only have so much
feel sorry for the smaller teams though
have these big money spenders
then u have cars that cant even run incase they crash

well they do have a big money spending power

or as Homer said, "I challenge you to a duel" ;)
But Vader, who could come in and take the place of those manufacturers? Peugeot stepped out years ago, and I don't think Volkswagen (or any of its subsidiaries) will step in.

Personally, I don't want a Sauber powered by Suzuki, for example :P You know what I mean

funny how stoddart always claims he has no money, and is then seen on tv with the biggest gold watch you've ever seen on his wrist.

its reported he's gonna sell some of his old F1 cars collection to raise about $5 million.

I was waiting for Vader to talk about this point, since he would probably point out something some of us would oversee.... so you better start putting some names here, Sim :P

ok but who will make the engines? did people moan like this in 1988, 1989,1990,1991 etc.

Nope they got on and done the job. The main problem is testing back in them days they did not test as much and that kept the costs down

which is why we need cost cutting, to prevent more teams from going to the wall if [when] more manufacturers pull out

I think instead of Bernie lowering the cost to enter F1 (48 million dollars), he should help teams coming in by granting them some money. Either "free money", or something to be paid back after some years. Maybe then Dallara would come back, and Arden could enter.
