Same goes here, but a lot of people are worrying too soon, Kimi, JB, Alonso and Heidfeld are all still youngsters, barring anything strange their careers will end a long time after Schumachers and we will be treated to some magnificent battles in the future (hopefully by then NH will have a decent ride), but for now, the longer they try to catch Schumacher, they better they get.

He wont retire he will anounce he is going to race for 3 more years he is still young enough u never know he might want 10 championships.

As for this stuff MS would have won easily had it not been for the saftey car well Kimi could have passed him anyway and DC could have won had the tyre not gone alonso could have won had the engine or whatever not blown.

MS was not the fastest car on the track on the day and all this tyre crap last race they had a massive advantage no ferrari fan moaned then but as soon as they get cold behind a safety car they moan. F1 has safety cars if the tyres dont work tough luck as a mclaren fan i have had to put up with the crap michelin have made this year.

i would like to see him race on with the new rules to see how he and his team would cope.

he tried his best at Spa, but simply wasn't a match for Kimi.

he had the harder of the compounds didn't he?

I don't think he will retire before breaking Senna's pole record

Theres no point in breaking a record that he simply does not deserve!

Anyone who respects what Senna did and who he was would never steal a record that simply belong to him.

Don't think he gives a toss about the record

Anyone who respects what Senna did and who he was would never steal a record that simply belong to him.

Got to agree, that is just plain silly :/

That's absolutely bullshit, I'm sorry! Why should you stop racing out of respect for another driver? That's really absurd. You wouldn't say at the Olympics "I hope this runner will not break the 100m record out of respect for XXX". Honestly, this is just plainly stupid.

just what i was going to say Vader.

no matter what Senna did for racing or F1, he was still just another driver (albeit a very good one).

I hate it when people say stuff like what you wrote Chet.

Its like saying "I hope Kimi fails at mclaren, because the only Finn who deserved anything in mclaren was Mika, because he came back from a bad accident, and worked hard to win."

records are there to be broken, whether you or i like it or not.

How much more is he supposed to do?? Kimi is really the only driver that has a shred of competitiveness, and it will still be a year before he is challenging consistenly. 2005 will be the Arivaderci Michael tour. He's bored!! How long is he supposed to drive before everyone else gets thier act together and challenge him??
They should retire the number 1 in his honour.

Ha Ha "shows him whos boss!!"
Where have you people been for the last 7 years.
MS have put down everyone that has come at him.
He is the BOSS.
end of store.

I admit I don't like Schumacher winning all the time and breaking all the records, but that's how it is.

I don't actually mind that it happens. I feel, ever since Senna died, Schumacher never had an opponent that matches his qualities, or had the car to do it. Schumacher and Ferrari tie up very well, and they have the money to enhance their cars to every new technology they come up with.

I do think Rubens has to race with "2nd choice stuff" if you know what I mean.

Anyway about Schumacher breaking Senna's record pole positions...
It will happen... but what does it mean??? You can't conclude a thing when you see the number...
I mean, Senna died, when he started his 10th year in F1. Schumacher will break the record in his 13th or 14th year in F1.... that's 3 years more...
Numbers don't really mean a lot...

If people think Schumi is the greatest, that's cool, if they believe Senna was, that's fine too, otherwise F1 would be boring ;)

Senna was putting cars on pole that should simply not have been there and alot of his poles were done with one lap and no one got close. Senna on a quali lap was some things else and it dont matter who has the record.

P.s Senna got the record in less Gps than MS will lololol.

And theres one thing that MS will never have and that is what many people count as the best lap ever in a GP donnington 1993 1st lap. That was Senna at his best.

Watching Ferrari? Could be worse, we could have been supporting them for 7 years only!
