rather strange this one: from ITV-F1.com:

Jacques Villeneuve has set his heart on a return to BAR next season.

Villeneuve acrimoniously parted with the team at the end of last year

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

Oh, I'm sure JV said those things - I'm also sure that DR wont take him back. At no point does it say 'jv and dr are best buddies, they've made up' it does say though, that JV doesnt see why there would be a problem anymore. He's just sending a message to DR saying he's available and up for it, nothing more. TBH he's been doing it with Williams all year

i would like to see Mika and JV back, but i would like to see them both do well and have a good fight with MS.

i would not like to see Mika come back and fail miserably with a poor car though.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

The real shocker is that according to RDS Richards himself recommended Villeneuve to BAT as a replacement for Button.

but JV is burnt out at bar and who seriously expects he will accept a massive pay cut? one of the reasons i think bar struggled is because soo much money went to just 1 driver

It's starting to seem that one of these three:

David Coulthard
Mika Hakkinen
Jacques Villeneuve

won't get a top drive next year :(

Money wasnt the isssue when re signing for BAR in 2003, tux.

It was simply that DR didnt get on with JV, and i suppose Visa versa...but JV said many times he'd drive a performance related pay deal, with no problems.

Would like to see JV back, winning BAR's first race next year :)

I think the only shock there, is what a lot of rubbish has been said by certain people and members of the press on this issue prior, its not a surprise to me at all that he would do such a thing
