The Renault team and Jarno Trulli announced Sunday morning at Hockenheim that Trulli will leave the French F1 team at the end of the season. It is rumoured Trulli will be joining Ralf Schumacher at Toyota in 2005.

"I hereby announce that I will be leaving the Renault F1 Team at the end of the 2004 season. I am happy with this decision, and feel very confident as my plans for the future are clear. I will inform you of them in due course," Trulli said in Hockenheim.

"I would like to thank everyone at Renault for the trust and support they have given me during the past three seasons, and also to thank the team for releasing from my obligations after the final Grand Prix of the season."

"However, until that time, I remain as motivated as ever, and am fully focused on the current championship. This season has been a very successful one, and I intend to add more achievements, for myself and the team, before it is over."

Yep, the rumours are that Fisichella will be back in the Renault. His Sauber contract has a clause which allows him to leave for a top team should an offer arise.

i will be so happy if Fisi joins Renault again.

i have always rated Fisi better than Trulli.

i feel biratore is making another mistake just like letting button go. trulli is on top of his form, maybe not top quality or maybe he is, i don't know, but he is good.

Trulli is IMO (marginally) better than alonson

i listen
and i think that trulli will not be very happy to leave renault
for toyota
it's very clear how much renault are strong

and i do't think we will see trulli shining again
i think this is will be the start of the end for him
as for other driver like coulthard and maybe ralf

Not sure about Renault, though. Trulli's position in the team is not that secure. Even if he won Monaco, Flavio was very angry about Trulli's Magny Cours mistake. Trulli himself said he was very unhappy with the lack of support at Renault. I could imagine he is going to leave the team at the end of the season.

I guess he's pretty happy to get away from Flav.

Did it have something to do with the fact that Flav would only re-sign Trulli if he also signed another management contract??

Trulli, all credit to him, refused to sign a Flav management contract, so has been shown the door.

this is old news :P
Trulli is bitching a lot. He never did anything worthy, now, he wins one race (did well to be fair) and wants a river of money...
Now, Mark is for sure at Williams, Fisichella is at Renault, and David is going to Jag...
But I don't know if it's a good move for Trulli, da Matta is leaving F1 with disbelief, mostly because of how his car did badly, and how the team operates. I don't believe in Toyota's success next year.

I agree, Toyota need stability they are changing drivers far to often and I don't think RS and YT are a good partership really they are both good drivers but not the best IMHO.

I don't think they will do much more of a better job the Panis

I feel sorry for Panis, such a nice guy and the continuity of keeping him would benefit the team a lot.

Yeah, i agree, but i feel more sorry for DaMatta, a great driver, who couldnt sit on a nice car. I hope Toyota keeps him. And I hope they build a decent car for 2005!
