fair enough Ellis, but maybe some aspects of the '97 regs could be brought back, regarding car and tyre dimensions, but with reduced size wings, and other changes people have suggested.

Read somewhere recently that an engine used in a Pikes Peak car, cant remember what, was revving up to 160,000rpm!!

Why would banning refuelling be unsafe? It's the refuelling part that adds an element of danger.

Are you sure about 160 000 rpm and maybe not 16 000 rpm? Because that would be hell to have to listen to for even a second!

MercuryGP, what exactly do you mean by Cart Style wings?
the rear wing with the single mounting position? or is it something else.

hope you don't mean the Handford device, thats promotes artificial overtaking.

Nevermind, the 160,000 was for a turbocharger.

"hope you don't mean the Handford device, thats promotes artificial overtaking"

i reckon any overtaking has got to be a good thing- and a handford device i don't think is a bad thing.

my three things:
1. get rid of those ****ing flip ups and exhaust outlets on side pods coz they're ugly.
2. control tyre
3. i reckon f1 cars around mount panorama (for those of you that know it) would be awesome. challenging corners, huge height changes, two looooong straights and a decent length- up around 6km or something like that.

and i'll sneak a fourth in too:
4. more teams

any overtaking is better than nothing, well i wouldn't agree.

if they were passing 5-10 times every lap, it would soon get boring, just like watching a CART oval race. there's no excitement when they pass each other. i agree there should be less aero influence on the cars, so overtaking is more possible, but its the few, but good overtaking moves that remain in peoples memories.

but f1 tracks aren't like cart ovals- passes would still have to well judged and well executed and on f1 tracks there's more scope for blocking. motogp has tonnes of overtaking and is great- there's always something going on and the order always shifts

Change nothing !!! F1 is perfect the way it is now :)

NOT!
1)Old qualy
2)Legal bounties on Tilke's head
3)Legal bounties on Ecclestone's head

Everything else will follow naturally :)

Could someone please tell me what Ecclestone has got to do with it? Max Mosley and the FIA make the rules and the teams then say "yes" or "no". So you should ask for legal bounties on their heads.

Bernie is the most influential person in F1, but he is NOT part of the FIA. He just owns the commercial rights for F1. If people think F1 is boring and TV rates start to go down, sponsors will leave F1. This cannot be in the interest of Ecclestone. On the contarry - Bernie has said often enough how awful he thinks the new qualy modus is, so I don't really see how you can blame him.
