No, its not always, its a lot of time since this 3 week gap was the last time in F1 (1998 i think).

i think dolinseks is right. i cant remember having a three gap to the start of the european season for quite a few seasons.

Last season did have a 3 week gap but that was during august i think.

First off, the swearing is unnecessary.

Secondly, there is plenty of action this weekend, the highlight being the Moto GP Africas Grand Prix. There is also the World Superbikes in San Marino, both live on bbc2 on Sunday.

Furthermore, there is the World Rally Of New Zealand, and I think theres some F3 and NASCAR action around the world somewhere...

I think its fair to say this is not going to be a dull weekend, dispite no F1.

pooky read the posts properly before yapping at everyone...yes, there have been 3 week gaps in the past few years, no one said there wasn't...it was mentioned as to when the last 3 week gap was before the start of the European races

Also, Champ Cars live from Long Beach on Sunday Night on Motors TV.
