how come he made coulthard driver of the day, when he picked up the last podium place because of retirements, schumacher won the race by a mile excatly like imola, but at that race he made schumacher his driver of the day when button drove his best ever race and finished ahead of the lapped coulthard, funny that?

I agree. But it would be too easy to give the race winner driver of the day, and considering MS' car.

DC started 7th, finished 3rd, good result, BUT...

Barrichello
R Schumacher
Raikonen
Button

All had problems. So, some simple maths; 7 - 4 = 3

So what did he do in the race?

i think he made DC the driver of the because of the result of the mclaren and being on the podium , was much needed to gee up the team,

although i thought that Jenson probably deserved it

I think it was because of the move he made on Button for 3rd or 4th place. He also wasn't that far away from Montoya, so I see Brundle's point there. DC just drove a solid race, so I think he deserves it. Just a shame that that's the only kind of prizes McLaren gets this season (which is really turning into a one-horse race, literaly).

coulthard's move on button?

buttons car was already on the blink by then...

in that case the best overtaking move ever is jacques villeneuve on damon hill at hungary in 97...

LOL matt!
If you get the impression that Brundle kisses DC's arse, it might be due to the fact that this is what he is supposed to do, being DC's manager.
