It is an old Williams wheel from the 80s. I wonder what that switch does ...

That is weird tho, shows how much F1 has come.

are you sure its not from a ferrari?

that switch on the wheel is most probably to make the make the light flash above the revcounter, thus enabling the driver in front to see that he should move out of the way :-)

ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

I'm not sure - I would say it could be the overtake boost or something, a feature that was incoorporated in the Turbo-era, but it doesn't appear to be linked to anything, and I don't think the overtake boost was a simple switch like that. It's not the right kind of button for something like that either. As LS said, it's more like a light switch :) It doesn't look very technical does it?

I mean the whole question was meant to be ironic anyway. I just remember reading somewhere Frentzen stalled the car during practice/warmup in Melbourne or whenever/wherever because of pushing a wrong button. So I thought this wheel might suit him better :-)

(Pushing a button! Why do they always push poor Jenson?)

Hehe yes it's for the lazy breed of F1 drivers. They're the ones who get in the car 20 seconds before the warm-up lap begins, and don't want all the hassle of launch control ...etc. They just want one nice big button/switch to push and everything will work fine. So I name it the multi-purpose ocklogerator switch. Yes.
