I think that they were afraid that if he pitted and went out behind VER the race could end behind the SC

Hey andrzej, Mercedes were too complacent with Hamilton yesterday and the excuse they gave Lewis for not pitting him is equally laughable - fear of losing track position inspite of knowing that the Mercedes car is an absolute beast since Brazil, and Hamilton would have caught up Max with the combination of fresh tyres and a much faster car.

I am a neutral fan who believes Mercedes need to be more practical with pit stop strategies.

Kimi forever!

Something happened with Masi and the stewards after Silverstone, I don’t know why, but the way he RD’d races changed completely after that race, also penalties were not given when they should have. There could be a possibility FOM had influence over the stewards and Masi as RD to help both sides when needed to make an equal fighting ground. Look, even when Charlie was alive, there were questionable penalties given or failed to be given, depending on the situation. It’s just that the FOM allowed teams to influence Masi and with Masi, the stewards with the radio they added.
I fear the court ruling and the whole fiasco might lead F1 to a similar situation like CART had from 2000-2003.

Yea, but how could they know that the race would be continued? It could have been ended behind the safety car as well...
