'Rosbergs car breaks this time just to make the 'Shoe' feel it's not all sabotage.

Oh Alonso is definately in the points somewhere and there's a gap between the two Mclarens. Kimmi is just doing what Michael did on his comeback so no point in speculating there, just got to wait for his multiple failures to start happening.
Grosjean takes someone out or maybe just himself and webber beats Vettel.'

Well almost ..... Lol.

Seriously though, I have to say on a circuit where nothing spectacular seems to happen, for me this was the most exciting race this season.

Great finish and podium .... what a podium can't believe it.

best race of the season imho.

Alonso did the race of his life, what a driver, so far superior than his rivals
Schumacher last stint was awesome, the way Webber was following was great to watch.

Where's Jenson? he did nothing today. nothing.

there's 10 titles in that podium

Having seen replays... expecting penalty for Maldonado!
He accuses Hamilton of aggressively driving him
off the circuit.... but that's what he's been doing to people all race.

Hmm.

Also eagerly awaiting Jenson's excuse this time..

Mark Webber/Christian Horner: Last Lap Schumacher used DRS under Yellow Flags *complain*

I smell a Protest

The Real Story of the Race was that the Renault's fell apart and the Ferrari's didn't.
Rosberg headed for the sliproad and retired, probably because of Nicotin starvation they have still not given him a helmet with a little hole in it.
Based on Vettel and Massa in Barcelona, if Schumacher did use DRS, then it must be a penalty.

Oh man,... was that a race or what... Go.. Alonso... hot

The first 3rd was more like a Redbull Stampede... :-(

Then the incidents started to happen and finally Vergne's crash and the Safety Car started the chain reaction and race became exciting.... :-O

Too bad for Vettel and Hamilton.... :(

Happy for Schumy.... :-) dont know much about DRS used... Sky F1 guys didnt mention that..

Big Winners... Alonso... & ... Webber... (Y)

He was ahead of Webber though, so any DRS being used would have only allowed him to defend against.... what exactly? Webber couldn't pass under yellows anyway.

BS if he loses it.
Brawn says Schumacher closed it 30 metres before the yellow flags started, so he might be okay.

Agreed!

And what was that with Alonso. According to Parc Ferme rules you have to park the car in the designated area. You also cannot receive any objects before you have been on the scales. Yet he got both flags and teddy bears and what not. I can understand why Alonso would want to do it, but I cannot believe that he actually did it.

Will we see the FIA ignoring their own rules, a symbolic slap on the wrist, or will these rules actually be enforced? If not, why are they still in the rulebook?

Webber (N)

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

but i think it's only after Qualy that you have to bring the car to the designated area, not in the race.
i've seen many drivers stop the car after crossing the finish line without receiving any penalty

That ridiculous rule supposedly forbidding drivers from stopping to pick up flags has been around since the mid-1990s IIRC, and it has no place in F1. I don't expect any penalty for Alonso though, since thankfully the rule has rarely(if ever) been enforced.

Regarding the Hamilton-Maldonado collision, I think Lewis should've let Pastor go much sooner. It's better to collect valuable points for 4th place than to have a silly accident trying to hold onto 3rd when your tyres have clearly had it - especially in a title fight as close as this.

JPM got into trouble for receiving his watch from his race engineer before being weighed at the 2003 Monaco GP. No penalty was issued, but he definitely had a talk with the stewards about it. You are also allowed to stop the car before Park Ferme, if you have a technical issue. I doubt this was the case today.

yup, i remember that Montoya incident, but i think the problem was he was weighed with it, and then went to the PC and drank fluids and all so he was naturally heavier after it and there was no way to prove he didn't loose more than the normal ammount of kilos.

that's probably why Alonso drop the flag whilst being weighed (wouldn't make any difference but still)

The rules are clear:

[argent.fia.com]

Quote
F1 Sporting Regulations 2012
43.3 After receiving the end‐of‐race signal all cars must proceed on the circuit directly to the post race parc fermé without any unnecessary delay, without receiving any object whatsoever and without any assistance (except that of the marshals if necessary). Any classified car which cannot reach the post race parc fermé under its own power will be placed under the exclusive control of the marshals who will take the car to the parc fermé.

I doubt the delay was necessary, proceeding to Parc Ferme was not without assistance, and objects were received.
