Oh dear. Epic fail!

schuey, a whole second behind nico !? this is not loking good. In addition, bahrain is actually a good track for michael. 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2010 he was right up there.

Long run pace was crazily close throughout much of the field again.

I can only report what I read as I didn't watch practice, but apparently on his fastest lap, he was on track with Vettel, Vettel down his inside into the final corner.

I wouldn't read much into the times, but it's worth pointing out that Rosberg is no slouch on this circuit either - he got the fastest lap on his debut in 2006.

It's hard to say how Michael and Nico might compare in the race this weekend too, since they've only raced here as teammates once before and that was Michael's very first race back(so he was very rusty), and also on a different track layout. It's almost a clean slate.
Let's see how they do in quali.

Not sure if anybody else watched it but the Sky F1 Show was pretty good today

I have to say Georgie suits the style of the show far more than she does her role with the skypad

It's not hard, seeing as her role with the skypad is to nod at the appropriate moments.

Didn't bother watching, nothing against Georgie.. but I'm already finding the sky coverage over saturating yet bland at the same time.

I will admit that I have shared the same opinion until now

I just switched on Sky and noticed it was on so checked it out

I particulalry enjoyed the interview with Frank Williams. Now I've never been a Williams fan, but Frank is a real racer, and hats off to him, he has been around a long time

In terms of Bahrain as a whole, do you think F1 should return after this year? Given all the political turmoil I'm not sure many would cope with the trouble for a third straight year (or thereafter).

Well hopefully New Jersey is ready and they can use that as an excuse to remove Bahrain, as they won't want to go beyond 20 events.

Realistically, I can't see Bahrain leaving the calendar as long as they pay for the privilege.

Epic lap from Heikki.

All the top teams took a huge risk there. Hamilton and Button were just ahead of Schumacher.

........O_O Caterham in Q2, Schumi wtf *speechless*

The Real Story of the Race was that the Renault's fell apart and the Ferrari's didn't.
Rosberg headed for the sliproad and retired, probably because of Nicotin starvation they have still not given him a helmet with a little hole in it.
apparently.... apparently.... schumi had a technical problem.... what's being said on mercedes' twitter. cannot believe it. qualifying is so much tighter than it used to be

Didn't get to watch the qualy session, mainly because it was broadcasted at 4:00 am here, but just learned that the Force Indias were suspiciously overlooked by the cameras, despite the fact that Di Resta got to Q3. Source here. If it really is a FOM conspiration, I think that we have finally fallen to the very bottom.

Yeah the lack of Force India on screen was slightly suspicious.

Should be a good race between the Fingermeister, Webber, Rosberg and the McLarens but I doubt it'll be a patch on China.

But tyre stragety will be of the utmost importance, Schumacher (lol) could do easily end up with a big haul of points.
