I wouldn't exactly count us out of the running for the playoffs just yet. ;)

Guess whose team gets an extra player in the form of the referee every week? You are our league's manchester united. Your players are all diving cheats too. It's no surprise you've come down and done so well when the media and referees are so clearly set up to favour you. But at least you've still managed to pull it off - if you didn't with all that help, it would be truly embarrassing.

It's actually called the NPower Championship ;) and we're going to be lucky to be in it come the end of the season if our form keeps flatlining.

You're going to come straight back down unless you buy a lot in the summer, I do think you can stay up though (ditto with West Brom, whoever comes up through the playoffs will come straight back down).

Spending money in the summer is important, we (Birmingham City) spent quite a lot last summer and we finished the highest we have in a very long time.

i think the toon have had a decent start to the season. Our 6-0 win over Aston Villa just shows the belief the players have in themselves and confidence is high. Going down is exactly what we needed as it gave us a reality check really. Hopefully another 3 points against blackpool today

The 6-0 win over Aston Villa was the best thing that's happened in the Premiership for a long time.

At least they're doing better than Bath City...who will be lucky to stay in the Blue Square Prem.

Just had my first experience of St James Park

Everything I expected, awesome atmosphere abs a cracking 2nd half against Wigan
