I thought I read they had plans for the le mans 24?

If not would be a waste of what is probably the best looking in the field, and after its development I would be supprised if they are a no show. The car showed impressive pace last year, and more time and development would certainly make it one to watch.

I don't understand whats happened to the Dome project. It seems to be gone now. No Le Mans, no LMS/ALMS, and no sponsor.

Ok, the story about the Dome is quite complex.

First of all, ECOSpeed doesn't actually exist yet. And the Dome chassis (of which there is currently 1 rolling one) is still in Japan. It hasn't been paid for. Dome didn't enter Le Mans because they were expecting ECOSpeed to, but ECOSpeed left it far too late, even if they did have the chassis. It may be co-incidence, but it is looking like the ECOSpeed entry is just a ridiculous mess that won't happen.

Good God, that's a hideous car. At least Peugeot make theirs look passable! Did they take design tips from Audi's R15?!

The similarities between that boat and the car are quite something lol!!

I understand the use of 'square' angles for a team with such a low budget, and I can sympathise with the idea of designing, building, and racing your own car but c'mon seems like such a waste of time, and space on the grid. What about the WR?

Bruno Senna is to test the Oreca team's LMP1 car in the Le Mans Series pre-season test at Paul Ricard today.

The GP2 runner-up's Formula One hopes ended for the time being earlier this week when the Brawn team confirmed they had opted for Rubens Barrichello instead of him.

Senna believes driving the Courage-Oreca LC70 is a better option than chasing a reserve driver role with an F1 team given the new testing ban.

"I have proven my racing ability with my results in GP2 but when I get my chance to race in Formula One I want to be able to contribute as much as possible technically," he said.

"With the restrictions in F1 testing now, it is difficult for young drivers to develop in this way but by using my time constructively like this, I believe I can make myself stand out from the crowd."

Oreca boss Hugues de Chaunac clarified that there was no deal with Senna beyond the test at present.

"At the moment this invitation is just for Bruno to join our test which will continue into the night," said de Chaunac.

"It should be a new experience for him and probably the longest test day he will ever do."

Senna will test alongside team regulars Olivier Panis, Nicolas Lapierre, Soheil Ayari and Stephane Ortelli. Oreca have already given tests to World Touring Car champion Yvan Muller and World Rally star Petter Solberg earlier in the winter

Not really impressed with the Lola Aston. After seeing the cars become more extreme with the Audi and Acura, this looks very simplistic. It'll have to have something special to get even close to the R15s, 908s and R10s.
