edit - he does make the good point of last Audi's being quite conservative, this one does look very very agressive! A nice counter to the new Acura!

I dont think they will compete directly against each other for a while though. As i undestand it, Audi are not competing in ALMS this year and Acura are not competing in anything OTHER than ALMS in 09. Please feel free to correct me.

Audi are at Sebring with 2 R15s though, as are Peugeot. Audi will be at Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans as well. Peugeot yet to confirm that.

Because it was a development of the R14, rather than a mostly new car.

Edit: 2006 DTM entry was the R12+ as well. So it isn't always numerical, depending on what changed.

Audi confirmed the cars plans are currently Sebring, Le Mans, Petit and Laguna Seca.
