yes, bathurst was great today. it was funny how the first half of the race there were no safety cars, but in the second half there must have been 6 or 7...

Looks like Radisich got knocked around a bit more than first thought.

Speedy recovery Paul!

yes, hopefully he is back next year again!

they really should have electronic yellow flags like they did at Singapore. i know it would be expensive, but it could potentially prevent injury or worse

the season is over. jamie whincup was definitely a deserving winner, especially considering he missed a whole round!

did anyone else go this weekend? it was a great weekend of racing, with a good crowd and lots of good support categories. a nice farewell to skaife, morris and the track itself.

and it appears very unlikely that there will be a 'new' oran park anywhere

however, there will be a race at the Sydney Olympic Park this time next year

Shame to See Oran Park park go

Don't Think a Street race will be the same

especially around the olympic park area it's a nightmare to get home from huge events there already with out having streets closed off

I would love to have another run around Oran park before it closes, its been a while :(

I did hear that the Perichs' were intending to re-build Oran Park out near Wilton.

anyway, good luck with your FFord run gareth - make sure you post some pics or a recount of your experiences!

Great - so I can watch JV race again... Yay.

Its probably good for the sport though - might entice some new sponsorship, or anything to boost it to make it watchable again!

2013 - Nando must come through..

Wicked! Although seeing as Paul Morris is involved, I'm pretty sure it's all BS. JV and Ingall would be a mean pairing

not necessarily. to get the 2 million in sponsorship he mentioned, doing something like this would possibly help attract sponsors.

why would jv waste his time? what about that no-name brazilian who raced champcars and cant hack it in v8s. v8s are one of those series where you need the best car to win, and then there are 3 or 4 cars at the front nearly as fast as each other. its very tough. hed have to be promised the best car, otherwise he will look average unless he brings his 'world championship' skills to the series and wins on skill, but that wont happen, its not the type of series where that can happen, you need the support and the car.

Because the joy of participation means a lot to him? Afterall, the team he was going to be signed in NASCAR with is a back of the grid team.

Ben Collins, possibly the Stig, will be competing at the V8 Supercar endurance races this year

It will be interesting to see how he goes, but I would expect it would be a very steep learning curve for him, just like most of the other international drivers that come to australia for these races.
