Christ almighty, that's a shunt and a half! If that hadn't rolled, I reckon he wouldn't have climbed outta that. Lucky lucky boy. 3 years earlier and he'd be a goner for sure.

Am amazed he got out so easily, not often you see a NASCAR flip like that alone, and the speed he was going at that point was incredible....

"I've never seen anything like that in my life"

Well Nascar commentators have a bloody short memory, then. Great so see he's ok. Have to agree that 3 years earlier it may have been a different story, the quick hook-around and angle of impact reminds me of Gordon Smiley's accident.

Just before the car starts its first swing to the left, you can see smoke coming out of the right rear. Puncture?

Think it might have been dust - they mentioned cement dust from an earlier incident in the clip.

If a tyre had went down then he'd have went round much faster than he did. Dust was definatly from the track.

I can't say that's not a possibility, but from what I've heard on other boards, its not as likely. There was quite a bit of dust in Turn 1, don't know if that happened to have anything to do with it, although a slow puncture can cause enough problems to slowly send the car into that slide the way it did.

just my two cents.
