ROC 2007 *Spoilers*

Nations Cup has just finished

It was Germany vs Finland in the final with Schumacher and Vettel against Gronholm and Kovalainen. Schumacher stalled at the start against Kovalainen, so that left Vettel to try and claw back the Germany side against Gronholm, in Gronholms own Ford Focus WRC. Amazigly Vettel won and then he went on to beat Kovalainen in the final. It may say that Germany won the nations battle, but it was all Vettel!

Waiting on the Drivers ROC starting soon.

wtf?! schumi stalled?! thats not like him?

Ekström won 2nd year in a row,well done...sadly everyone don't drive against each other so we don't really know who was best.

lmao. The Drivers ROC just finished. It went down to Ekstrom vs Schumacher in the final.

Heat 1 was the Opel Astra cars. Ekstrom dominated it in the yellow one.
Heat 2 was the ROC Buggies. Schumacher dominated it.

Heat 3 was the Opel Astras again and Schumacher was unhappy, saying the yellow one that Ekstrom had was better than the red one he had. So after a few minutes of demanding for it to be swapped around Ekstrom got bored and said "fine, let's just go race" and hopped in the red one that Schumacher didn't want and drove off. Schumacher got strapped into the yellow one and was told "Ok the clutch in this one isn't working right". :D Ekstrom won heat 3, and the overall drivers ROC.

Strange heat 3. I was expecting that they'll drive a different car (like Focus WRC or Aston Martin)

There would have been also FIAT.. It would have been more impartial than Opel or buggy but also too boring for final.

With opel Ekstrom was a lot better than Schumi and with buggy there wouldnt have been any guestion about winner.. And sure Swedish arranger prefered more to see Swedish winner.

One of the FIATs broke a gear in the last race they used. They couldn't use them.

Kovalainen's crash was good. Overall an interesting ROC.

ok. That information didnt come thru Finnish tv. Only possible problems of that red Opel was mentioned already before MS wanted change to yellow one.

i watched most of it on Sky Sports 2. was quite good but not many spectators, only about 50,000, but it looked a lot lot less than that.

and one of Murray's mistakes, he said the ROC buggy had 1100 horsepower! (he meant cc engine). still, good to hear his voice again.

and Georgie Thompson, yum yum! i should start watching football if she's on it!

and why did they list MS as being 37 years old? he was born in January '69 so he's 38 now and 39 in January.

i recorded the final event (3 heats) plus the re-cap of the whole day, about 48 minutes worth. if i can get it in mpeg or avi format, then upload it somewhere, you can download it. any suggestions where i can upload it for free?

1hr 8min here. Just depends on the peers you happen to get. It's got nothing to do with the server.

What torrent software do you use just out of interest gav?

Not the place, but uTorrent. Not much to do with the client though, it's more to do with how you configure it. Do a Google.

Great event overall, can't help but feel a heat or two were staged to add to the excitement(Heikki's spin for example) but in the end it was all good and most adaptive driver won !
It was also bloody freezing around Wembley so they must have had some tricky conditions..
