Another question!

Is it possible to edit the weather in GrandPrix3 exactly???

Example:

30 Minutes: light rain
1 hour: sunny
1h 30min: Cloudy
2 hours: heavy rain

i think it should be possible altering the checksum or something like this in gpxpatch. i remember when we did the hotlap comps under rain, a specific checksum was given to all to have the same weather settings

ye this sounds promising. would love to see this as a possibility.

i like wet to dry races .

usually with gp3 settings you chose a percentage of weather and it's always dry to wet

I have experienced races/sessions wet to dry, not only dry to wet. The weather in Gp3 is random, and it covers the usual real-life weather conditions.

okay then I change always to - in 9 years of playing gp3 i've only ever had 1 race that went wet TO dry

I think you've just been unlucky.
I had a race at long beach that was Wet-Dry-Wet.
That was fun trying to get the set up right! Lol

i like wet to dry, cos as its always drying, you're constantly going quicker :D

changing conditions are the best. I remember one race I had at Interlagos: wet to dry to wet to dry to wet, that was an awesome race :D

i like also a lot the qualifying where it gets wet after 5 minutes or dry in the end. always makes interesting starting grids with backmaker on top :p

one thing i never liked is to see all the cars keep going with sots while the track is already all wet. never understood where to lower this threshold

Some years ago in Buenos Aires I also had changing conditions, all cars changing the tyres 5 or 6 times in the 72 laps.
The cars and I used all sorts of tires in the race (dry-intermediates-wets-heavy wets)
I am just a little bit angry, because I didnt save the lapchart, on this lapchart you canĀ“t follow a line because in the first 25 laps all cars changing the tires 3 times and you only could see a lot of chaos on it :-)

Also interesting would be to edit the grip level in heavy wet conditions ;) I like undriveable conditions

I've had some pretty crazy races with changing conditions! One in particular race I remember was at Albert Park, started wet, turned into a monsoon, then went all the way back to dry as the race progressed. I went from 1st down to 12th 'cause i wore the inters out too quick!

Yes Roberto.
I never understood how checksum works in GP3, so the numbers were obtained by trying different times until I got a stable rain and saved the corresponding checksum ... despite Alan found out that after some hours the amount of rain would decrease.

It would be nice to find the meaning of those numbers which form the checksum :)

it's a step ahead. Do you remember that value and the way you changed it? i know nothing about it but we could make testings having a base :)

Yes, you need to set the Random seed using GpxPatch.

Random seed for low and constant rain in unlimited practice session:
40763,41804,27426,7995,32980,36573

Considering the other parameters in GP3Hotlaps, checksums were like this:
init, damage, cc checksum: ad9598d4, 237f753c, 1fdbf9d4

Check the Random seed section at:
