Strange things happened...

Hello everybody there,

Since last week I got a strange problem with GP3 on my computer. My car is getting slower than it used to be, about 5 or 6 seconds a lap. Deppending of the track my top speed could be reduced to 250 km/h (or not so), with no use of the 6th gear on automatic gearbox or slower 6th than 5th on manual gearbox. Other cars are not affected, same lap time than usual.

This happens either with GP3 or 2000, with or without GPxPatch, with original tracks or community tracks, and whatever driver slot I use.
In my testing I noticed that my speed was less affected on tracks unfinished (tested with Shlund's leMans_1969, speed over 300 km/h in the Hunnaudieres. With MarinoCervini's LeMans_24H_no_chicane, less than 250 km/h at the same place)

Did someone got this or know what it could be ?
That's an old computer with AMD Athlon64 (single core), 2Go RAM and Radeon HD 4650. Still works fine (well, I guess...)

Thanx for help.

Up... Nobody ?

HEEEEEEEEEEELP MEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!! hot

I'm sure there are specialists here that could give me an advice. Could it be hardware issue or corrupted GP3 file ?
I discovered that my Hard Drive got less than 10% of free space. I don't think that's the reason because I made some place and nothing got better.
BTW, my PC seems to work fine for everything else. Well... I guess :(

Thanks for helping me.

Did you try to adjust your gears...??

If you drive with default settings you are not driving with the best setup on all circuits... Every circuit needs it's own best gear/damper/and stuff settings in order to keep up with the rivals :)

Hope you manage to fix it...

Hi shlund,

you're right, but that's not the problem I have : from one day to another, with exactly the same settings and on the same track, I am 5 or 6 seconds slower (and I can't even go to the 6th gear on some tracks). So...

Should be something like this. I'll take a look at this and give you feedback.

Many thanks to both of you

So that was the graphic card :
I remove it, then plugged it back again, and now it works fine (Y)

But when I try to calibrate, I got a marvelous CTD :-o
Someone got an idea ?

I have no idea...
You're not the only one with this problem, my GP3-2000 always CTD's when I try to calibrate :-( I adjust the graphics settings manually and test in-game :)

I just can agree with you. I suppose this is because we have now multi-channels graphic cards that didn't exist when GP3/2000 was build.

In my case I think it is a kind of hardware issue with my graphic card. This happened when I tested a new DVI screen and then came back to my old VGA screen. Maybe it is because I need a DVI/VGA adaptator for that screen, maybe it is due to something else, I don't know.

By the way, to resolve this, I just have to unplug the graphic card and plug it once again, and then everything is OK.
It's just a little bit annoying because I have to open my PC, but it works like this.

Cheers
