WIP : 2005 McLaren steering wheel

Hi people, this is my litle secret project I started yuears ago, but forgot about for years : The 2005 McLaren wheel


Converting the bitmap to jam went fine with steerac, but I keep getting an error message with the steerb convertion.


So, here is my bitmap, hoping somebody can do it without any error

there are to many colours in the bmp and i think that's the problem. The original bmp got 1958 colours and in your bmp there are 8193 colours. This could cause the problem about the I\O error

Have you got Jam Editor?
Try with it...
Here is the link for download:

Then, try to make these actions:
1) Select "File/New"
2) Select "Edit/Add new texture"
3) Select in the list on the left the texture created
4) Select "Image/Import texture"

Thanks Jürgen. WOrks like a charm I've got to try with more than 256 colors though

Here is a quick wip shot, while I'm still trying to find a way to display driving aids while not making the wheel ugly when on or off (off will be as if nothing is displayed, such as the steering help on that pic)

the wheel looks very nice Mathieu and i'm sure you'll find a solution aswell for the driving aids on the wheel

It's progressing nicely The low-color Steerb9 jam is simply unnoticeable !

But to sort that transparency issue with the red digits, I think I'll need that cockpit editor Damien Legros made years ago, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone got a link ?
