Hi Folks,

Sorry, I wanted to select thread to my email. Fist time using.

So, this is a repost:

My friend and I have played GP2 and GP 3 for years through many Championship seasons using a 2 player mode and e-mailing the file to each other at the "fade".

We recently purchased the upgrades to 2000 season. Aussie was OK, but at Brazil, I started getting a message as I loaded the last screen that my"replay buffer" was too small and to increase it to 7:33, which I assumed was what my buddy had set his at. Doing this let me run the game, but then I started gettin"Illegal page fault" errors, and I had to reload. We both set our replay buffers to 2:00 min and this did not help. Now, he can't even load the file I have just sent him form San Marino at all. The Game, gives an illegal function error and crashes out. Most times it will relaod but once I got a "Dhelp" message. I copied the error mesage as this:

GP3_2000 caused an invalid page fault in
module GP3_2000.EXE at 018f:0047a284.

I have re-installed the game and get the same problem.

Anybody had this or can help?

It would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rod,

I got similiar probs,
I have
P IV, XP Home

Addon 2k, GpxPatch 2.10, and in it's Debugger the same EAX report

Stack dump:

I will post it in the German GP3, there I also found one new report on a crash with similiar enviroment.
I had experienced already a couple of crashs, on Wednesday it was even so that I couldn't hear any sound anymore....???

We should try to give more attention to this in the community. Up till now it's not so clear to me, what is actually causing the problem...?
Is it XP, is it the Addon, or is it GPxPatch or, and this is just a guess of mine, is it the soundenviroment ? My Gpxdebugger has always this EAX report and since I ever use the Season 2k I couldn't use the soundoptions in the game. There you have options for EAX, 3D Sound and Multispeaker. Unfortunatly they have never been active on my comp, which I don't understand. Maybe it's because I have a onboardsoundchip, but it supports EAX,multispeaker and 3 D Sound....

GP3 2000 supports EAX 2.0 . It won't work with the original EAX

Hi Nirjano,

Thanks for the input. I am told GP3 2000 only supports EAX2.0. Do U know where to get that?

Rod.
