Gp3 2k won't start... help please!!!

Hi everybody,
first of all, I wanna apologize if this isn't the right place where to post this topic.
Anyway, I'm experiencing troubles when launching gp3 2000. As you surely know, every once in a while the game asks you to insert the gp3 original cd-rom. I have original cd-roms for both, gp3 2000 and gp3, and i haven't had any troubles for years. But now, when I insert the gp3 cd, it doesn't just recognize it, and of course the game won't start. I tried reinstalling several time, but the problem persists. I'm sure it's not a cd-rom problem, since i can play gp3 without any problem.
So, have you guys got any ideas? Or do you know if there is a way around this?

Decrypted exe and GPxPatch is the way to go.
