yo kids ;)

i've got a strange problem. i want to try out the belini tracks, but gp3 2000 season makes trouble. i installed the game and started it for the settings. after that, i try out, if everything works fine, but exactly here is the point, where the problem starts. when i'm driving out of the box, the game freeze or it goes in stock motion. during this process, i can see, that the cpu goes over 900% (!!!). i've found out, that the cpu isn't really the problem, it must be the graphic card, cause in the software 3d modus, the games runs normal, but i've got so many graphic mistakes. after switching back to the graphic card, the problem started again.

my pc settings:

cpu: intel quad core q6600
gpu: nvidia geforce 9800 gt
ram: 3gb ddr II ram
os: windows 7 rc build 7100

so what the heck is wrong?

(the problem do also appear with the normal grand prix 3)

That's it... You got a 4x one... If you don't know, a 6600 4x is actually four cores with 1650 MHz each one... GP3 is from the single-core era, which means that the game will act as if your PC had a 1,6 GHz processor...

GeForce 9 series are DX10 based video cards... GP3 will run with DX9 and no higher than that...

Remember, GP3 is an almost 10 year-old game...

Sure... Windows XP, CPU around 3GHz (a 6000 x2 may work too), GeForce 7 series, 2GB RAM or more...

now gp3 is giving me slow-motion in race when i pass near the pit entrance and the pit exit, or drive through the pitlane. Also i have a certain lag with keys all over. Also the option for the double screen makes the game ask to configure the video at every opening. Last but not least now, the tyres have the purple strip shown on their shoulder and i need to paint it black. Yes deffo Gp3 is gettin old. The new HW can't stand it anymore.

Seems really time to move to GP4 or gtr2 track editing. C'mon Geoff, do your magic again with something editable like Gp3 :(

No problems with new hardware here:
Core2 Duo 8500 @ 3.1GHz
4GB DDRII
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+

Please don´t move to an other game, we need you !
I play GP4, rFactor, GTR2, F1C as well...
but my heart belongs to GP3.

Happy racing from Germany !!!

I dont know whether GP3 it runs In Win 7, but i think only the problem in Win XP or Vista is the graphiccard. Maybe you exchange the card
