SW cockpit view tyre grooves

Hi. Lately I've installed the textures for slick type tyres for GP3 1.13. The problem is that after the installation I see the new textures somehow interferring with tyre grooves which shouldn't be there anymore. When I used older carsets with grooved tyres I didn't know about this problem which came out when I started using slicks.

I suppose the problem may be connected with tyre shape or something like that. Do you know the solution for that?

P.S. MY PC won't run GP3 in HW mode so don't ask me to do so.

Here it is. I used red arrows to indicate what I mean.

One more thing. Don't laugh at my cockpit. I know it's a mess ;)

OK... First of all, take a look in this picture...

As you may have noticed, it's a magnificent pic taken from game in its hardware graphics mode... All the 16.777.216 possible colors are plotted in this picture... Except the tyres in external views, for what the game uses the 256-color palette...

What I mean? Even in HW mode, the game uses the SW mode for tyres when using external views (chase/TV)... OK, look at picture again... Noticed that even with slick textures, you may find the grooves in the tyres?

So, you got your answer... All views for SW modes (SW mode and HW external views) will feature those grooves... You won't see them in HW mode from cockpit or onboards...

And you were going berserk for that... ;) Thanks for sharing your question...

Thanks for the reply. Now it's all clear. I think I'll try darkening the tyres so the grooves are harder to see. Having all the things considered, I guess it's the only way.

Well, I wouldn't say you to do that... It's just another of GP3 random bugs... ;)

It's easy. First you upload the pictures to some free photo hosting server and then simply paste the links with at the end

You're welcome.

Yes, I know what you mean. By the way, it's strange that the generic wheels have default grooves which can't be erased

Not so... Just wondering about the grooves not being present in carshape, specially in tyres part...

I don't know if it's of some help but I noticed that the grooves are visible only when the tyres are exposed to the sunlight. When I go through dark places (for example the tunnel at Monaco) the slicks look perfect. Maybe some kind of lighting adjustment is needed here...I'm just guessing.
