Ivex Racing Club - NEW CHAMPIONSHIP

Dear all,

for quite a while, i've been wanting to "invent" some offline championship/world, even if it would be just for my own consumption...but then i realized i could be "Bernie" and all you guys could be "Briatore", "Brawn", "Domenicali", etc...

You must wonder...what for?! As far as all you guys know, there are already some good championships running around....so why even bother to continue reading this thread?

Well, how does "being-able-to-influence-your-own-cars-performance-with-your-team-director-decisions" sounds like? (sadly pit-stop strategy is still not one of those)

What if during the season you would have to manage not only your drivers but also a limited amount of car-parts, some extra-performance boosts, etc....in order to manage your team to glory? I can already think about a couple dozen decisions possibilities...

As far as i can gather, until know you just choose your drivers and based on some results their performance varies slightly - please correct me if im wrong. On top of this i just don't want to create a similar or to substitute current championships...only something new and different will make me go forward!

I also want to be a better "Bernie" than the original, and so i will count on your valuable opinions to help me define/twick all the necessary parameters to create and make this world evolve.

Hope i was able to unleash a little bug on you about all this...in my opinion this can be quite different from all the offer we have around.

HOW ALL THIS SOUNDS TO YOU? Please comment...

p.s. I'll use my 5 divisions car-sets published by Drafi5 on his page...so i'm looking to find a minimum of 11 team directors...but i would like to have at least 22...let's see how your response to this initial challenge will be!

Good antihero! Regarding more info, i'm organizing a wikipage for that. That way everything will be clear, without having to scroll back and forward on this thread.

Let's see how many competitors you'll have to fight against!

Ah, forgot to tell...all the teams without team director will be automatically managed by me via an pre-defined algorithm.... so this way we'll have full grids in any division.

Why not have a real racing league instead? Like F1WGP3L and F1GP3WC used to be... this I guess would be more fun than just having the races simulated on someone's computer and you would influence your performance even more than in your league, I can say that without knowing the rules yet

I understand you Jackal, but im more into Management than into Driving. On top of that, i dont know how those racing leagues are hosted and so on...sorry to disappoint you man

Great idea... but it'll be better if you can use GP3-2000.

Anyway, i've been receiving Rob_vs's help, i already have GP32k and now i'll spend some time learning how to edit it, so give me some weeks to do so, and after that i'll do a new charge on trying to convince you about joining.
