Anyone know how I can configure the gear shift buttons 6 & 7 on the wheel to map to the gearshift buttons 1&2 in GP3?

Thanks reddwarf, all the documentation says Logitech Vibration Feedback Wheel.
I tried using the profiler but it only seems to allow allocating buttons to certain functions in the game, like views. GP3 only allows the gear shift to be allocated to buttons 1,2,3,4 but on the wheel the gear shift buttons are 5&6. I guess the only way would be to open it up and try and move the wires around inside if there are wires as opposed to a printed circuit.

I have a Logitech Momo Racing Force Feedback Wheel, and I can set gears to whatever buttons I want, even on the Gear Stick (Buttons 7/8), which I can't do with GP4 surprisingly

Why don't you also send a email with your question to the HELPDESK of LOGITECH maybe they can give you a straight answer what to do.

I don't have that problem because I have the same steering wheel as Mathieu Briere.

;)GOOD LUCK ;)

Thanks for the help, I eventually found the latest software update for the wheel and that includes better support for GP3, only problem now is one of the buttons does not seem to work, I have emailed Logitech. Cheers OG

I emailed Logitech but no reply yet.

I downloaded the latest software and the profiler detects GP3 and allocates button 5 to button 1 and button 6 to button 2, however nothing happens when I press buttons 5 or 6. These buttons work in test mode. Any ideas?

you can try it with the special settings in options\ controls\calibrate controls. Mark one of the 'no defined' buttons and try to setup as user defined

am assuming that 5 and 6 are the paddle controls?- have never come across not being able to assign buttons on any controller tbh- what happens if u use the custom controller set up in gp3? This is what i used to put the gearshift on the paddles for mine-otherwise you cant navigate the menu on the steering wheel shown on screen if i remember correctly. But then to go up n down between carsetup n fuel etc i have to press throttle and brake pedals lol- must get round to doing it properly......

Thanks for all the help, I finally found that if I created a new command for buttons 5 & 6 and then recorded the button presses 1 & 2 it worked find, why the original mapping by the set up does not work is unknown. Cheers OG
