I have seen .cp3 and .ctf files in some of the file downloads. I thought I knew what to do with them before, but are they cockpit files?

.cp3 is the cockpit shape
.ctf should be the car body as it can be used in the passage between 2k and 1.13

.ctf ,as said above, is the body shape but when you use it it doesn't for example override your cockpit shape with the new one. It changes ONLY the body shape and nothing else

I have tried a variety of ways to "load" the car shape. I can do it through GPX loading the .cs3 file with no problem. But as an example, when I downloaded drafi's f40 file and loaded the car shape into the car editor and imported the .cp3 file and the then import the .ctf file and then re-export to the exe file, when you get in cockpit view, all you can see is flickering, the pit crew and wheels!

Please,please...for someone who is new in GP3 is it normal that he is asking questions!

... we also asked some silly questions in the beginning, and now we are older and almost professionals in a matter of speaking...
...so it is up to us for helping new members in this community of GrandPrixGames, especially GP3.

But, like I said in some other treads,...IT IS GOOD TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON FIRST...and if you don't find anything or answers for the question, then put your question on a new tread and someone will be glad to help you.

;);)"Help each other and keep GP3 alive " ;);)

Jeez, people

Using this saying was meant as a joke 'cause the original poster said his question was probably a 'dumb' question. Nothing more. If you don't like the saying, that's fine. But lighten up will ya'.

at the end you noticed that the only dumb post has been yours ;)

or like Depeche Mode say:
you posted in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
used the wrong method with the wrong technique...
reached the wrong ends by the wrong means
It was the wrong plan In the wrong hands
With the wrong theory for the wrong man
The wrong lies, on the wrong vibes
The wrong questions with the wrong replies

and yes, mine is a super-dumb post ;)

The thing about a sense of humour is that some people have it and others don't.
Those that don't get their knickers in a twist.
Those that have it recognize the saying as the stock answer to the question "this is probably a dumb question but....."

Oh, well.

I only meant I start with stupid questions, i was not saying anything about other's questions.
In my opinion MarkChiconski is NOT a dumb question, only the question of a beginner (as i have been), nothing else.
Just to be clear and not misunderstood.
