a better cc-line!!!

Hello, I´m wondering if somebody has a better cc-line of Miami Downtown circuit.
The one I have is terrible, I crash in every wall of the track.

Best regards from Brasil

no, it's the ccline that drives too close the walls...

Bad cc-line makes driving Miami irritating. It's a pity, 'cause trackgraphics are fine and layout quite demanding.
IMO there are also other 2-3 tracks, worth cc-line improving (e.g. Pyramids, Mexico by F.Porcel).
Maybe someone someday find some time...

Of course the first person I thought to fix this problem was Roberto Scandura. But as I know him for ages, I knew he wouldn´t change somebody elses track without permission. So let´s wait.........

if he is still around and if it is the actual email.

Happy racing from Germany !!!

I agree with you, 'cause at many corners it's hard to hit the apex. And it's a bit weird seeing the AI making some corners taking odd lines, like taking the outside line on the last corner. And the track is very well detailed graphically. I'm going to use this track on my season, and the little I drove there yet I found difficult to focus 'cause I can't stop looking at the details ;)

Cheers

Well, the ccline is not very good (as in other custom tracks), but i had a good and funny Gp in Miami Downtown.
The track is really very tight so it's quite easy to hit a wall.
But when the ccline is not perfect the only way to have a good GP, at least for me, is to change the CC grip to have a realistic lap, even if in some corner the CC will be very fast, and in others vary slow.
The ccline affects only the CC: the problem for me is that it is difficoult to drive behind a CC as sometimes they do very strange lines and i tend to follow them, into the walls!
Anyway, any improvement is welcome!
Bye.

I'm still around and still racing GP3, but not actively modding at the moment. I'm happy for Roberto to have a go at changing the cc-lines on Miami and Paul Ricard.

Thanks for "The Pen" to give the permission and in advanced to Roberto Scandura. I just love Scandura´s cc-lines, that in my opinion, are the best ones.

ok, Miami with a new ccline uploaded in the quick fix area. Original GpForm included. Base the is Smoking Pen track. Thanks, credits and a beer to Paul.

I tried several attempts as the nature of the track gave me lot to try&fail. Not sure the final one is the best though.
Using the braking help still may screw you because of the very tight corners but at least no weird events in races and no massive pileups for the few i saw.
If you like it, enjoy, if you don't like it, ah well... :)

Miami .dat is perfect. Smooth line driven with great pleasure. No single problem while driving without "braking help" (no touching or kissing the walls).
And yes, playing with "braking help" enabled may cause one difficulty only (2nd turn to the left), but it is minor and I would not even called that "a problem".
Thanks, once again.

Very good job Roberto (as always).
So Paul "The Smoking Pen" is a real man? Almost incredible.
Heads off to you Paul: i'm still enjoying your jobs (expecially Cart and IRL carset and Cart tracks).
Bye.
