Windows 7 and GP3

Has anybody still tried to run GP3 under Windows 7 build 7000 ?
The game freezes when I start loading a track, tried "run as administrtor"
and compactibility Win 98 without success, GP4 runs fine.
Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

GP3 2000 works fine with a combination of Compatability and Run as Administrator.

When i installed GP3 however it didnt work, and then when i tried to install the patch it completely destroyed my Windows 7 installation to the point where it will no longer shut down any programs completeley, meaning you cannot log off or shut down.
