this shouldn't be happening with the grip patch, but I'm guessing you're not using it.
there's so many variables it could be, I need more info
what magic are you using
are you using the grip patch
what level are you racing at
driving aids
wheel or keys (lock used)
default setup or custom

a quick tip is to always race on ace level, default car setups/strategy and a lock
of 12, this insures the player has no avantage over the ai.

I know using default setups takes away a lot of the fun of gp32k but even a little
messing will always give the player an advantage, so stick to hotlapping for custom
car setups.

let me know your settings and I'll try and help more

I guess i'm using the grip patch, because it doesn't happen at all tracks.

For Sakhir I'm using the MD file that it came with the 2007 track, but I changed the power and grip factor values for ace to 500 (which i guess is the default value for ace, right?), could it be from it?

I always run in ace level, but, as I told you, I change the values for the power and grip factor to 500.

I used to have the throttle help aid on, but now I turned it off, which now leaves the suggested gear as the only aid i use.

I use a FF wheel, and I use the same setup as the AI does, and I don't mess anything in the car. I don't mind not messing with car (though it was also very interesting to find a way to make the car faster and faster), I just want to have fun, racing as close as possible against the AI. And sure, I don't mind winning, but I would like to win as if I wasn't the only racer at the track (you know what I mean?). I'm trying to keep this awesome game fun for me to continue to play it.

Thanks.

BTW, sorry for the dumb question, when you say a lock of 12 you're referring to a thing that you set up in the controller settings, right?

Thanks again. Cheers

no you need to apply the grip patch, they're included with
belini tracks in essentials, don't forget the physics as
the grip patch needs the physics to function properly

all help in the track info folder

the default for belini tracks is 512 at sea level, don't
touch the magic it's fine tuned for working with the performance
files and grip patch

turn it back on again as once you get used to applying the power
you gain an advantage over the ai

yes, 12 lock and 50% reduce with speed, this stops the player
advantage in fast turns

Thanks for the tips Belini.

Also with 12 lock in slow corners you have to reduce speed, nice.

However, regarding the throttle help aid, I think that with it off my advantage to the AI is also reduce, 'cause now I have to be more careful when accelerating, and therefore, I have to put the throttle down later, than with the aid on. Especially, at turns like T3 and T9 at Sepang that have an elevation change in the middle, it is already hard to put the throttle down with the aid. But it could also be just me suffering from some Placebo Effect LOL

Thanks anyway!

Cheers
