if i'm allowed to give suggestions i'd say that it's better to use only original tracks as base for the conversion. It's more easy to manage new jams and locate/manage objects. good luck!

It would be nice if someone convert my GP2 tracks to GP3. There are two fantasy tracks: Autodromo Caccere and Westsand Road and some real tracks: Croft '07, Croft '67, Leipzig, Syracuse and Parco Sempione are the ones which I think there's no GP3 version by other authors (I'm brazillian, so I can't check Roberto's database to be sure). There's also some beta-tracks, without scenery: Nogaro 75 (this one don't have a pretty good ccline), Salzburgring 75 (most of the scenery is done) and Enna-Pergusa 75.

I hope someone convert them someday...

I already converted every gp2 layouts you can imagine centuries ago. But without scenary is a very poor work. I prefer a poor layout with amazing "jams" instead a great layout without anything (that´s my humble opinion).

Who is interesting my e-mail adress is -> bachiegajahu@globo.com

So you mean that the tool only converts layout and cc-line? And everything else (jams, scenery...)?
This makes the job very hard...I think i have been too optimist :(

it's even worse than you tought Claudio. It converts the layout and ccline and also converts some commands into other ones, so you'll see plenty of view distance commands, track width commands, banking and extention stuff you wonder what the hell are doing there... a work of CTRL-X for you ;)

but a non-scenary track is a good start ;-)

Yes my friend... as I told you before, I just converted the layouts (and most part of them are not with the accurate layout). It´s a very poor work. I did it because I was very fanatic with all kind of tracks around the world, nowadays I don´t anymore in this tracks.
As Rob Scandura said, it´s much, much more difficult than you can imagine to build a decent track.

Yea guys, i knew that create a new track was very very hard.
But i have thought, just for a while, that converting tracks was easier: well, it seems i was wrong.
But i'm going on studying...
Of course is more and more easier to modify a track, or make an update...
Bye.

@ro4die: in my site there is a portuguese version of my english tutorial made by the guys from orkut but there is the brazil factor. I'll send by mail as i'll have some time today.

@Claudio: dont be scared to put questions. the more you ask the more you get ;-)
to convert tracks follow my guides. they are step by step. you shouldnt fail

btw, i'm still trying to sort out the matter of the ftp hosting because lycos seems not apreciated by my security tools. i'm looking for a free ftp place that allows 3mb+ files. if anyone has a place where to buld a site i'd be happy to move it. For my own works i prefer a own site to be free to update them as frequently and quickly i want.
