I tried to extract magic data via cmagic but without success, the track SENTUL crashes all the time. Can someone please send me the magic data file for this track? (gp3 1.13)

1, Get a basic MD file from the downloads section.
2, Open the track with Paul Hoad's track editor.
3, Look at the CC data area and copy the values
4, If the track doesn't have MD then look at any MD file and copy the values then edit them to get it running properly. Note that the bumptable might cause trouble if you are using a long track as a MD donor.

All tracks should come with magic data or an .md file for you to insert with cmagic.

There may be other reasons for a track to crash your game.

Thanks for sending me magic data, i installed this file but cc cars are always quicker than me, especially in the last sector of the track. I decreased grip and power but it's always the same story whatever i try.

Ah yes. You also have to set your driver abilities in GP3Edit especially if you are using keyboard control. I do and I have my car set to 18800 with the cc cars around 16000 depending on driver. Make sure you are running in ace mode, too. If you need the lower mode controls they can be edited in GP3Edit tools section and patched into the game. Other than that, you may want to tweak the car design performance with Advanced Physics Editor (old downloads). with practice you should find settings for magic data that you can leave from year to year. After all, the tracks don't change that much until someone with a track building flair gives us an updated circuit, like we hope to see in time for Spa 2007. Then the MD may need to be changed a little to accommodate the changed characteristics.

See. GP3 is such an interesting game.

I discovered another strange thing..in qualifaction i'm still a lot slower than the cc cars. I managed to start from 10th position but in the race i'm almost 1 second faster than any other car??? I do not understand this and it's not really realistic...how can i change this? All cars have the same pit stop strategy (3 pits/74 laps)

If I understood the weird AI system in Gp3 (and probably I don't) AI cars and human car are on two different 'channels'. The parameters to set the AI level can be not the same for the human. Indeed many times I have to set my grip value too lower than the AI or otherwise to increase the AI settings. Try to balance the values. In my last season I had to race at 12000 to simulate an ambitious mid-grid team...
Of corse don't trust the first 4/5 laps because the human car can be even 2 seconds faster than anyone.

the player car always has 16384 grip regardless of settings in performance
files, the only way this can be changed is using the belini grip patch

but changing the grip value in gp3 edit I see my car react in a different way
that's why sometimes I have to lower it to 12000 to avoid the Schumacher effect

Anyway I have a trouble about the grip patch. I used the gp3 1.13 one but the game had a strange behaviour. You say it allows to apply for the human player the value set in the gp3 edit instead of 16384 but my car become exremely slippery and hard to steer. Even setting 16384 which is like the custom one the car had a huge lack of grip.
How is it possible?

could be the magic data or if you're using phsyics, 16384 should feel
the same as when it's not patched, have you tried the patch with a
default gp3 track? have to admit I haven't tested it with gp3, but with
gp32k and gp4 the patch works the same, the data is the same in gp3.exe
so I would imagine it would have the same effect.

you may feel a slight difference using 12000 but your lap times will
be almost identical, all version of gpx bypasses the performance file
except when in the pitlane, you should notice a difference when the
autobrake kicks in (race sessions only), a good example of this is leaving
the interlagos pitlane.

using 12000 will give you a slower pit entry/exit time than 16384, when you
leave the pitlane gp3 switches the player to 16384, all the patch does is
switch this off so gp3 uses performance data.

I tried another track in slot one instead of Sentul and it's exactly the same...at Mexico city track i was qualified second. In the race i was almost 1 second faster than any other cc car...this is becoming unrealistic...all cars with the same set up.
