general opinion from what is now begining to filter through the media seems that keane was undermining mick mccarthys authority as the ireland manager.

when a player does this, i'm afraid theres only one course of action to take for a manager

the training ground was a disgrace. in a week he was trying to nurse his injury he picked up 2 more cause of the state of the pitch. "it was like a car park"

plus the new footballs were not available + the other irish players were taking it easy when keane was determined to do well in the world cup.

from what i read and heard on the radio, the way keane went about it and spoke to mccarthy was'nt the correct way, he allegedly started a confrontation in front of all the other players, and this is not the way for a palyer to act towards the mamager, let alone the captain

harsh i admit, but necessary to keep the respect of the rest of the team, without that the manager is nothing
